Internet is a marvelous invention that became part of many people’s lives. Internet is a basic and useful equipment for students. Having internet and computers installed definitely benefit students, and also teachers. Some argue against students having internet in class, however, the advantages of having internet are more valuable than its defects. Many schools provide computer and internet accesses as long as the schools have enough money affording them. Simultaneously, there are oppositions such that students might go on inappropriate websites or even cheat. Most of the time, teachers ask students to do research, take practice quizzes, or do class work by using laptops provided in class. While students are using the laptops, teachers can require all the students to face the same side so that the teachers so that teachers can make sure students are doing what they suppose to. Teachers should avoid letting students to take tests on the internet since there are many possible ways of cheating off from the internet. Schools should also set up firewall to block the inappropriate websites as much as possible. Books and dictionaries are essential in any classrooms, but they occupy too many spaces. Computer is a great replacement as its small size and many other uses. In Claremont High school, internet and laptops are available in many classrooms. The school district created many online websites and services for students. Students can check their homework and grades easily through the internet at anywhere. Some teachers upload the old assignments for students to make up. Some assignments can be done on computers and send to teachers on internet, which would save papers and ink.
