INTRODUCTION The goal of this informal report is to state my observational findings from the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which took place between 28th March and April 2nd 2012 at ADNEC. The goal of this project is to evaluate the Book Fair itself on various aspects, criticizing it either positively or negatively, depending on my opinions. This report will inform the reader of the methods used to obtain information, my findings and will include a discussion of my honest thoughts of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. Importance of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair Rapid growth and development has made Abu Dhabi a central point of the Arab book trade and an important market for booksellers, publishers and distributors in the Gulf region. Substantial investments in culture and other important areas have been made by various government initiatives. These investments have been made primarily for reading and literacy, which are crucial for the growth of any country. The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair represents a valuable initiative being done by the Abu Dhabi government, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and is committed to the long-term expansion of the global book business. The spotlight also consists of a focus on rights -- featuring new publications of foreign rights in Arabic --, an eZone and Service Providers area – showcasing new technology and digital content --, and sharing the best practices in the education sector. METHODOLOGY The method used for obtaining information for the report consisted exclusively of observation. My main goal while observing was to answer a set of specific questions. These questions are listed below. 1) How enthusiastic and excited was the crowd? 2) How was the organization of the Book Fair? Was it easy to find places?
