Internal and External Factors Paper Organization Denihan Hospitality Group owns and operates four bands and boutique style hotels in United States (US). The customers preferred guest program is to provide a guest with the ability to create a profile of the perfect reservation; for example: home away from home. As for the employees, Denihan believes in promoting within and keeping good employees. Overview In this paper the learning team have reviewed Denihan Hospitality Group (DHG) internal and external factors on the four functions of management. Denihan manages hotels for owners who do not want to be tasked with the day to day operations of running a hotel. We will provided the internal function of managing business and external function of the managing a business with outside partners (vendors). Four Function of Management (internal and external) The four functions of management are planning, leading, controlling and organizing. The internal function in DHG management is top-level managers are executive staff, middle-level managers property level managers are general manger and directors. The frontline managers are the front office manager, restaurant managers and housekeeping managers. The internal factors functions to management for Denihan is to understand the employee’s needs by anticipating the employees. The company has a program in place to promote internally to keep down the cost. For example: Denihan created a user friendly program internal to allow employees to apply for new positions up to five days before it is posted to the public. It also have information related to the company: executives visiting the different location. They also have an executive assigned to each location and open door policy.
