In order to have a meaningful life I think one must achieve true happiness, have pride in ones self and a have a respect of others around them. To me these virtues are what combine to have meaningful life. Happiness is a key to living a meaningful life because being happy in life is what makes it fun. If someone does not enjoy life, their life cannot be meaningful because most things are meaningful if they are fun and you enjoy them. Meaningful memories that last a lifetime and remind you about the good times you have had are created through being happy. Achieving happiness in your life is one of the most important things in having a meaningful life. Another thing that contributes to a meaningful life is having pride in who you are and what you do. In order to have a meaningful life someone should be comfortable in what they do. Being comfortable in life is important because like happiness, most things are meaningful if the person who does them is comfortable with what they are doing. Martin Luther King who made many meaningful statements and speeches was confident and comfortable in who he was and what he was doing. If a person is not comfortable in what they are doing, that thing cannot be meaningful because the person does not want to do what they are doing. Lastly having a respect and understanding of others around you is an ingredient to a meaningful life. Having a meaningful life not only involves what you do with yourself but also with other people around you. Being aware of how you act towards and treat others is essential to having a meaningful life. These actions create impressions in the people around you and those impressions can impact if your life is meaningful. Creating lasting impressions of being a kind, friendly and warm on people is great for having a meaningful life but if people have impressions of you being a sour and mean person your life
