Entrepreneurial Leadership Yashiqua Jenkins Prof. Victoria Figiel BUS508 –Contemporary Business Strayer University October 28, 2012 An idea is all it takes to ignite the process to start a business. To find a need of the people for a particular product or service and expand on it in order to make a profit is what many entrepreneurs do to start their company. A perfect example is the formation of Five Guys Burgers and Fries by the Murrell family. Their desire to focus on providing the consumer with quality burgers and fries have led them to be very successful in a short amount of time. This paper will determine how Five Guys’ philosophy sets it apart from other fast-food chains.
Its main competitors include Qdoba Mexican Grill, Moe's Southwest Grill, Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill, Ranchero’s Mexican Grill, and Baja Fresh. The company executives have identified ways to make the company stand out amongst the competition in different ways that they hope will enable the company to remain at the top and keep making profits as it has done since inception. One of the best ways is new innovations. This has been done by employing a new chef with vast experience to come up with new menus that will be tested in selected restaurants before the menu is adapted by all the restaurants. This is a gamble for the chain because it has had the same menu of burrito bowls, burritos, tacos, salads, various meats and extra dishes such as salsas, cheese, lettuce and guacamole which have been the restaurants signatures.
I was in one of their places, their downtown locations, I said “can I just have one the normal way” and they told me I couldn’t. I think they were going to call a cop. But they put the chili on top. We think its to hold everything together. We did talk to another fellow who puts the mustard under the hotdog because he doesn’t want it to interfere with the taste of his chili, which he says is superior.
One of the reasons is that Jaime started his career at the very bottom and worked hard to get to where he is now. He was a dishwasher and is now a chef and instructor at a prestigious cooking school. I really admire the hard work that he put in. I met and worked with other chefs who were also very good, but I didn’t identify with their background and style of teaching as much as I did with Jaime. I also appreciate the fact that Jaime uses his sense of humor when he teaches.
It’s HOW you do it There are many careers to choose from in our society. We have the right and the freedom to do what we want in life, how we do it is up to us. With standards raising and the economy going the way it is, we all know that getting a college degree is a requirement to get a job. As Jane Jacobs mentions in Credentialing vs. Educating ‘without it, as North American high school students are forever being warned, they will be doomed to a work life of “flipping hamburgers.”’ Just because someone is flipping burgers doesn’t mean that they are doomed and unsuccessful, if someone wants to flip burgers their whole life they should do it.

By maintaining these objectives we shall be assured of a fair profit that will allow us to contribute to the community we serve. (Missionstatments, 2012) Arby’s strengths would be quality and friendly service. Arby’s stresses over giving customers quality, friendly fast food. Quality, is giving customers freshly thin roast beef, turkey, roast chicken and corn beef each and every times they visit (Roast beef is sliced to order).

Code of Ethics Suzanne BUS/210 February 21, 2014 The company that I am starting is a catering company. The name of it will be “Foods by Sue”, so having my name on the business means that I want a business code to show who I am. The first code of ethics that I want to have is individual ethics, I want to make sure that each person will treat the other the same way that they would like to be treated. It is important that the people that work for me like what they do and like who they do it with. The reason for this is that when you like what you do and who you do it with it makes work easier.

Today, Fat burger has grown to a worldwide food restaurant chain. In the past decade almost every multinational Fast Food brand has considered to penetrate the food industry of Pakistan, so did the Fat Burger. Considering the economical downfall of the country, the first challenge was to decide that where they have to setup their first restaurant, and finally they came up with the name "Lahore", a place that is well known for its charm and considered as the home of food lovers.
