Concealed America Gunfire rings throughout the air. A bullet pierces through some trees. Another bullet ricochets off of a rock. Then another takes down a friend. A few of us start to run. Others aren’t as lucky. This isn’t a scene from a movie or even a war zone. It is what’s going on inside college campuses around the world. Students with guns are picking off classmates who are left defenseless because society is afraid of guns. We call people who carry guns, with the expressed intent to do harm, terrorists. We call soldiers, who kill terrorists, heroes. But what do we call a person who is carrying a concealed weapon to protect himself from undo harm? We call him a danger and a threat.
