Informaton about the Tawrat, Zabur, Injil and the Quran. In this piece of writing I will be explaining about the Tawrat, Injil, Zabur and the Quran. The Tawrat is the Arabic word for Torah. Muslims believe that the Tawrat was the holy book given to the Prophet Musa (Moses). It is one of the 4 holy books given by Allah to the prophets. After the Torah, the Injil and Zabur were revealed and most importantly the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)-the Quran was the last holy book. Muslims believe that in the Tawrat the true commands of Allah were directly revealed to Musa. The tawrat had mentioned what men should do and what they should not do. Also that the must never kill a fellow man, they must not take things that do not belong to them, they must be goo d to their parents and one another and ost importantly they must not worship anything else except for Allah. Zabur is the holy book of the prophet Dawuud revealed to him by Allah. Some scholars equate the Zabur with the biblical book of Psalms. It means songs in Arabic, as this revelation came to David in the form of a series of songs or chants. Also many Muslim scholars think that it also has reference to Exodus 32:13, which reads: "Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swearest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it forever. Moreover in the Quran the Zabur is mentioned by name three times. The Injil is the book of Allah revealed to the Prophet Isa. Muslims also believe that this is the original Gospel of Jesus. Muslims also believe that the Prophet Isa had memorized the revelations of the Injil and had taught it to all of his followers.
