Clay Currey Professor Bailey English B 17 February 2010 Real or Fake? In neighborhoods across America and even in rural areas, people live next door and down the street. These people interact everyday and even believe they are close friends. Their children play on sports teams together. The parents attend parties and invite their neighbors to super bowl parties.
The kids who participate also get a free kids meal from Chick-fil-A, and who passes up a free meal. This year I kept up with one of my good friends who work with Chick-fil-A and he told me they needed some extra help out there. I chose to do this event because it seemed like it would be a fun way to hang out with kids, and help Chick-fil-A in any way I can. I enjoy hanging out with kids so I knew I would enjoy this event. I got to dress up, get my face painted, and hang out with kids for four hours.
Will told BANG! magazine about his contribution to UNICEF: “Every time I strip down to my underwear, some money goes to the charity, so it’s kind of my way of helping, making a contribution. Plus, it brings the ladies in. The ladies love it.” (quoted in “Will Ferrell’s Charity Work”) To his many fans, Will Ferrell is an inspiration because he can make them laugh out loud with his SNL skits that are now in reruns and his many hit movies. He is also an inspiration to young comedians who want to make it big.
Why? It’s easier on the budget to go to a venue and see players that could help their team. As a result, today’s youth are more energized to compete and possibly earn collegiate scholarships. However, Atticus encouraged reading and prompted his daughter to read every night with him. In the 1930’s only someone truly intelligent would have promoted reading to their kids at such a young age, and that’s another reason why Atticus is a genius. Finally, Atticus is also incredibly smart because while most of his peers are shooting at targets or playing football, Atticus would rather read. Although he was already a successful lawyer, he still worked hard to improve his knowledge through reading. In a town where reading was shunned, Atticus always promoted it.
