A good leader doesn’t have to know manuals by heart, only that they know how to reference material and complete a task complete and with mission complete rate at less above 95 percent. Even if a mission seems like it will fail or the time schedule is not in cooperation with the task’s completion a leader will find a way to complete. The reason a lot of leaders seem like bad or incompetent leaders is because most are rushed into a leader’s position before they feel like their time to grow is complete. I know sometimes it can not be helped and a unit needs leaders but that is when a good leader steps in a helps that leader out. Others are just plan as day bad or horrible leaders.

Some of the traits were very well represented by Grace. Her high levels of energy, persistence and effort show some of the most important traits that a leader must have: Drive. Her desire to manage other people and help them to grow in the company, her honesty and integrity are some good qualities easy to see in Grace. Lacie would benefit from implementing the self-efficacy theory. She already knows that she can do great work, and that the work that she does is above standards. Giving her more responsibility in the team environments would only cause her to work harder than she already does. Offering incentives of more responsibility is going to be her motivation; she likes to feel as if she is important within the group and thrives off others coming to her for advice and direction. National Honor Society members have an outstanding performance in the areas of leadership, service, character and their academics. They must demonstrate a leader and model to others a person leaning towards success. Members must work well with others and be willing to give back to the community. Although, not only do they have to display leadership and service, but members express honesty, loyalty, courtesy, concern and respect within their character. The traits I have chosen for my personal character are applicable to me because I have always looked upon the characteristics of a successful person and I believe my personal character possesses the traits.
What makes a great leader? What makes…a great leader? Reading that question for the first time makes one think, what an simple inquiry… at first glance though… but upon delving into the matter, I realised, I couldn’t even give a straight definition as to who a leader was. I mean, sure I had great examples like the likes of Martin Luther King. Jr and Mahatma Ghandi or even our very own Economic leader in Dr. James Mwangi, but a simple dictionary meaning was beyond my comprehension.
2 Introduction As a leader, one has to continue to improve on one’s ability to be a successful leader. It is very important that every leader gain an understanding of their personality type, leadership style, and leadership skills. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate my leadership style and to work with my mentor to identify my leadership characteristics. In this paper, and using leadership theories, I will analyze my selected leader to identify features and provide specific examples of leadership qualities that contributed to that person's success. I will also explain my leadership style and my ideas and plans to develop my leadership qualities based on my comparison with an admired leader and work with my mentor.
