Joseph Lawson Connecting Heaven and Earth Though the human race has a vast variety of unique cultures and shares many differences, there are also a surprising amount of similarities. This paper aims to look at the similarities and differences of two structures from completely different cultures. The first is the Pantheon, a Roman temple that was built to be “the temple of all Gods”. It was made during the High Empire in Rome, Italy (118-125 CE). The second temple is the Great Stupa, a dome-shaped Buddhist monument from the Maurya Dynasty in Sanchi, India.
Art History Ryder September 24, 2012 The Great Stupa Asian societies sustained many belief systems and rituals thousands of years ago that made such a huge impact it developed into religions that are currently utilized in today’s society. The Buddhist religion established from teachings and practices of Shakyamuni Buddha in 543 BCE to 483 BCE. People that practice Buddhism are exposed to the Four Noble Truths which is that 1) life is suffering; 2) desire is caused by suffering; 3) you can overcome desire; 4) following the 8 fold path of right view can help you extinguish that desire. The artworks of Buddhism are created in remembrance of Buddha’s’, and to symbolize their beliefs and understanding of life. Buddhism was the main inspiration for art in the region, and the most important Buddhist structures were created between the first and second century BCE.
They excelled at skyscrapers, especially as tombs (Tikal). Shared the same Mayan language Writing system (form of hieroglyphics) taught people they shared common histories, beliefs, and gods; also glorified the rulers and their ancestors. They were a major part in Medieval America. The achievements of Medieval America were caused because of the Aztecs, Incas, Mayans. These were the most powerful civilizations in Medieval America.
Firstly, there are 28 states in India and each state has different religion. For example, there are traditions in Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism.Example: 80% of people in India are Hindus. Hinduism is a colorful religion with huge colonnade of Gods and Goddesses and is one of the most ancient religions in the world. In ancient times Buddhism and Jainism were very popular. Sikhism was established in 15th century and is newest religion.

A kinship system was one of the most important domains of research for about 90 years. It has been the domain through which both, the universality of humanity was underlined, and cultural specificities were demonstrated. It allowed showing that all human societies or cultures have universally recognized characteristics, but it also allowed to demonstrate that each culture has its own specificity.
Their most famous example was the jewel Samarkand. When Timuri-Lang had made Samarkand the capital, he brought artisans, engineers, and scholars from all over the conquered lands in Asia. He made Samarkand the most beautiful place. There were mosques, temples, and all different types of architecture. It could have been obviously seen by any outsider that Samarkand was a very diverse and beautiful place to live in.
A Golden age is such a time when a certain civilization or ruling power has an economic boom and is doing very well in generally every aspect. Golden ages can last hundreds of years or just a short time. One example of a golden age was in Islam this golden was a huge leap in many aspects of culture, art, architecture, education, religion, sciences, and the economy. Ancient Islam was very diverse with many cultures including Arabs, Persians, Egyptians, and Europeans. As humans naturally do, the Islamic people learned from and blended customs and traditions into theirs.

The Persian culture included Zoroasrianism, which was an ancient Persian religion. Originally Zoroastians worshiped only one god, unlike neighbouring cities that worshiped many.
