The dialogue is clever, touching, and dryly funny by turns and utterly irresistible. See it once and then see it again.” is what she recommends. But what does Roger Ebert say about Casablanca?
This is a team that is being newly created, so they have no fan base to speak of. Sometimes a team will move, so at least the new market they move into has heard of them. The management, with over a year before the team plays its first game, will need to create a large hype over the new team and make it very exciting for the community to have them there in order for the team to succeed. The class most likely agrees with me because of how real the acting was. The movie was nominated for many awards proving how great it was.
The actors, Marlon Brando, Karl Malden, Rod Steiger and Eva Marie Saint played their roles so well that it game the characters a strong presence in the film. No wonder this film was nominated for 11 Oscar awards and had won eight. And this movie today, although many years old, still shows a strong impact thanks to its fine acting and
I enjoyed the casting choices because the actors and scenery joined to convey a part of the movies theme. It discussed issues that were amenable. As stated in our text by Edward G. Robinson, “an audience identifies with the actors of flesh and blood and heartbeat, as no reader or beholder can identify with even the most artful paragraphs in books or the most inspiring paintings. There, says the watcher, but for some small difference in time or costume or inflections or gait, go I …. And so, the actor becomes a catalyst; he or she brings ignition that spark in every human being that longs for the miracle of transformation”.
