Devin Marshall English 101.004 Essay Assignment 1 “A Father’s Story” Analysis In “A Fathers Story” by Andre Dubus, Luke had to make a decision. The decisions we make in life not only affect the decision maker, but all the people around them. In a fathers story Luke had to make a decision about whether to protect his daughter or report her to the local law enforcement. Why did Luke make the decision not to expose his daughter to law enforcement? Luke is a very loving father, and he seems to show the most love to his daughter because she is the youngest, she comes and visits most often, and for the longest periods of time.
