Blind Hatred” Good afternoon students and teachers,the purpose of my speech today is to help and inform you, on how characterization has been used to enhance the meaning of the play, “The Property of the Clan” by Nick Enright and the movie “Mean Girls” directed by Mark Waters. It is through techniques that have helped me understand the relationships, personalities and the alienation of young women and men. Now, in these 4 minutes I will briefly, yet, thoroughly explain how these techniques can give you a greater understanding of the texts and hopefully help you on your upcoming exam.

How does the oral format of your message impact audience understanding? (SLO 5) Answer: Organization of speeches is the most important step of the speech to me. A good/bad organized speech will affect how the audience takes it. On page 163 of our textbook it states: Taking the time to plan a well-organized message can boost your confidence.
The author does this again when looking at the statistics Canada study. Although she does make mention of the year of the study, there is no further information about where to find or review the study itself. There is a reason that using references and giving credit to those who completed the research is important. I often find myself reading something, and wanting to dive further into the content and learn more about the topic discussed. With this poor use of sources, it makes this a more challenging feat for those who wish to learn

The information required to comprehend (tasks and assignment clarification). The media were going to use for easy communication and timeframes that we were setting for each other and the team and the responsibilities the team had in communicating success and productive methods to complete the handbook. The audience or our team communicated what roles and two task each team member were to complete for the handbook. The information on each assignment was communicated and reiterated in e-mails showing handbook topics for each team member. The media types of communication we used the group, effectively communicated through Join.Me, Linked-In, and Dropbox sharing information and files we need to complete our assignments.
EXERCISE 1 I applied for this course because I felt I was stuck in a rut and needed a change, I am also approaching a landmark age and felt that this was a good time to make that change. I am very nervous about starting the course but also excited. I hope to meet some new friends and also to broaden my horizons. My expectations of the course are that I hope it helps me with my self confidence and to be a better person in myself. My fears for the course are that I discover some things about myself that I may not like but I suppose it is all about self discovery as well.
With both these goals, we need to find out what their needs are and address them right away. We need to understand their attitude towards the topic, by looking into their background. Knowing the purpose of our writing will allow us to take the reader on a journey to a greater understanding. In order to understand someone you have to see that person’s perspective and when trying to interview one person or a large group of people, that can only be done if the interview is in-depth.
