Stage three of the Conrad and-Demarest model helps understand empires by seeing their major results such as relative stability and prosperity, economic rewards, and population increase. The stability and prosperity of the Han started with high agricultural productivity supporting the craft industries of iron tools and silk. The iron industry was of rapid growth, because iron parts were used in shovels, picks and spades, enabling cultivators to produce more food and support a larger population. The agriculture surplus allowed fine manufactured goods to be produced and to engage in trade. Iron also was of military use in crafting armor, swords and spears.
These manufacturing methods can be replicated by other businesses in the countries and improve their ability to manufacture goods. This improved ability to manufacture within the country and should lead to an increase in the GDP of the country. This will improve the trade and relations between the country and many others. Also in some cases these MNC's will invest in the infrastructure of the country. This will improve the trading process for not only the company, but also the rest of the country.
A small population must cover a large area because of the constant search for food. Farming has allowed civilizations to live more condensed very comfortably. The development of Mesopotamia, whose names translates to “land between the rivers,” was a direct consequence of the Tigris and Euphrates and the impact they caused on the region. (Kreis, 2006) These rivers frequently flooded the region. Due to this flooding, soil composition was greatly impacted. The land between the rivers, called the alluvial plain, was highly fertile and full of life because of the rich soil composition. The people present in the region started to transition from their nomadic lifestyles to agricultural lifestyles because of the surety and safety the rivers gave in providing farmable land to produce ample food.
Task 1: Geography and the Development/Diffusion of Human Societies Part A Mesopotamia was the region of land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers were significant geographic features that shaped the development of Mesopotamia. Both rivers had a significant impact on the region’s agriculture. For example, the land between the two rivers was fertile and good for growing crops. Regularly, melting snow and rain from the nearby mountain ranges would swell both rivers.

The first positive effect is the contribution immigrants make to this country through the work that they do. They perform menial or undesirable tasks, such as fence building, harvesting crops, day labor for independent construction businesses, lawn service work, road construction, and even planting seedlings for the forests during the winter months. Legal immigrants also aid our country’s economy by engaging in activities as scientists, professors, research and various medical personnel, which benefits everyone involved. (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5312900) A second positive effect that immigration has on this country is the cheap labor that many of them provide. Because most of the illegal immigrants come from countries less prosperous than the United States, they are willing to work for less money than the American citizens are willing to work
