The student determines which environment would be the best choice for his or her individual learning style. Compare and Contrast of Two Learning Environments Higher education learning environments now have more choices than the conventional brick and mortar schools offered in years past. The learning environment can be a significant choice for persons desiring higher education. Life’s responsibility and financial challenges often deter one’s decision to return to school. The choice of an online learning environment, with attendance at any hour, is fast becoming a primary choice of higher education.
I believe that with the many technological advances that have been made throughout history computers have made life easier. I believe that computers have changed the world, as a lot of things can now be done through computers. A person can find a computer everywhere – at school, at work, and at home. A lot of a person’s daily activities either involve the use of or depend on information from a computer. I believe the educational environment is one of the most important places where the computer is placed.
Advances in technology such as e-mail, cellular phones, and the Internet have made global communication more convenient. Companies create their own website to operate powerful information and sales channel with augmented geographical reach to inform and promote their businesses and products. By establishing a website, a company can endorse its products and services, and be able to give a little bit of its history and other information to those interested viewers. Technology has affected the learning environment tremendously, because training methods have evolved to a more advanced setting. I will not go far in siting an example.
With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms. Those who support a traditional classroom approach to learning argue that it provides more of an opportunity for students to interact with the teacher and other students. Those who feel that learning over the Internet is better argue that it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere they choose. Do you feel education is better provided in traditional classrooms or when offered over the Internet? Write an essay to be read by a classroom teacher in which you persuade the reader that either traditional classroom education or Internet-based learning is better. With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms.
In an ever advancing world, we are constantly being bombarded with new technology. One of the most life changing pieces of technology was the personal computer. Throughout the past decade computers have advanced even more and almost everyone has one of their own or access to one at places like a school or library. With the ability to obtain vast amounts of information so simply with just a few clicks, the computer seems like such a great object. Although the computer is fantastic in many ways and has helped improve civilization’s way of living, have people all over the world come to rely on this device too much?
How Technology Boosts Academic Success Eddie Clark COLL100 UMUC Joe Smith How Technology Boosts Academic Success Technology is growing fast and changing education in many ways. According to ECAR Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology, 86 percent of college students have laptops for educational purposes and 60 percent of students own smartphones. Many schools and other educational institutions are trying to adapt to technology to benefit and increase how and where people learn. Online learning is changing how people look at higher education. To think many years ago who would have thought that a person can get a degree sitting down at a computer with an internet connection.
1. Online education has evolved over the last ten years as much as the cell phone. Given this, what have been some of the major improvements and changes in the digital classroom? The most major improvement in the online classroom would be the course software that the schools use. Ashford University changed its software in 2009 to eCollege software.
By accepting and even embracing technology allows teachers to grow the minds of children. Why technology is so important to the student and the scholar are varied. Technology has changed the way that we learn by showing new methods of learning. Labor intensive projects of the past are gone, and can be made in hours instead of days. A slideshow or even a video can be made and edited in a night and aired the next morning instead of weeks of sleepless night and allows changes what can be expected in a classroom and allow new ideas not to be ignored because of how difficult it would take to implement.
Is it calculators? Is it the result of rewiring school buildings to make them Internet accessible? The correct answer to each of these questions is — Yes — and much, much more.” (Dugger, 2000) The Jewish education landscape is changing with the use of technology and media. Many Jewish schools have invested in computers, labs, media studios, wireless infrastructure, and more. Jewish communities have invested in a variety of distance learning programs for Jewish education so that high quality online learning can
This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities. The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
