John Doe University of Phoenix Prof. Law Handy The Learning Curve Theory Novermber 3, 2012 Process Improvement Plan Over the past five weeks I have collected data on the process of making dinner for my family each night. In week one, I spend on an average of two and half hours going to the store prepping the food and cooking by myself. I cooked something different each night so the prep and cook times varied. I would also go to the store each day after work because it was on the way home. I broke each step down in my process of cooking dinner.
I spent 2 days just sleeping on the stairs of the ship that made my body extremely sore and my eyes were extremely tired and then came a thought in my mind if I will get out of this ship safely and if was ever going to make to America. Then finally I got to the Ellis Island with such an excitement however I was shocked to the see the big lines to make sure all the passengers were disease free and everyone had legitimate paperwork to enter in this country. Finally after proving my identity and showing the proper paperwork, I was able to board on another ship that was taking me to New York my final destination. Then again the same story in the ship, had to suffer because of no
Every time I put down a bash of breaded chicken down to fry, the odor of it came rushing on my clothes, hair and everywhere else. Also cleaning the fryer at the end of the night was the most hated part of my job. My sneakers were alway dirty from the grease spilling on the floor. I hated it when I went home smelling like fried chicken and feeling disgusting from the grease. My second responsibility became washing pots and pans.
Regretfully, Sarah is sad and upset about leaving her friends. As the first ship, The Speedwell, is ready to sail, they realize they will never see Holland again. The tiny ship is small and smells horrific! The sleeping quarters are awful and cramped. Not very far into the journey, they have to tow into port because the ship had several leaks.
In the movie Super Size me, I thought it was very nasty that Morgan had to eat one of everything off the menu at Mcdonalds in just one month. Me personally, I could not even get close to eating that much food in one month at all. Morgan must have felt guilty about eating all of that food when he was so skinny to start with. He was like only 123 pounds, after eating Mcdonalds for a month he went up to 267.Morgan had seemed very depressed and he started to have very bad chest pains after eating all of that food there. If I ever had to eat all of that food....
Parenting is considered to be something that should be followed by the books. Mom sends little Jimmy and Suzie to school, cooks, cleans the whole house, and waits for dad and the kids to return home with a delicious meal waiting on the table. Mothers have different roles now as opposed to the roles that they played before the seventies and eighties. Some mothers have to work due to our poor economy or other reasons such as layoffs and debt. These mothers work around forty to eighty hours a week in order to support their family and are sometimes considered the bread winners of the family, a term that was used for most males until recently.
My First Job Waiting for clients to choose their lunch, work at the bakery was my first job. First I had never worked in a bakery before, so I had to learn what the bakery had to serve and learn my position, which was making their food choices. My job at the bakery was to make people lunch and serve them or wrap to take out. I had to make pizza, pastas, serve soup and also make subs; at the bakery. The first week I was very nervous, so I made several mistakes.
They have to work to send money to their families in Mexico. So their families in Mexico could buy food, clothes, and be able to build a shelter. Even though we put our hard work in the field picking up strawberries it is not enough because, we get paid the minimum wage. The minimum wage is eight dollars and forty-five cents not even close to put food on the table for one day. According to my father an immigrant himself, said that approximately about two hundred people cross over each night.
It was boring. On Friday afternoon that week after my father came home from work, my parents took me to the doctor to get my stiches off my stomach. Getting off those stiches hurts a little but my father made it easy by encouraging me. After the doctor took the stiches off my stomach we had dinner at a Sundanese restaurant. The next Monday I was able to go to school.
I remember my Mom telling me he once had a job picking large rocks out of the road before the big machines came to have it paved. My Dad never finished school; he dropped out after the 10th grade. My Grandfather worked in factories all his life. He mostly was a piece worker, getting paid by how many parts he produced per day. Both of them wanted a fresh start by owning their own business and living the American dream.
