The actual seawall is what makes this area unique. The seawall is covered with graffiti drawn by people who frequent the area. There are colorful pictures of smiling suns, dolphins jumping one by one, and an occasional saying of “I was here in 97”, posted by military members soon before they leave the island. I find it astonishing how artistic people are when drawing on the seawall. There are many stories that are told from all the drawings and congee writing.
His career path changed when his wife wanted a photograph for their house of some local water. Putting his knowledge of the ocean and his love for surfing to good use, Clark Little traded in his surf board for a camera and began documenting waves in such a spectacular manner as to draw attention world wide. It was Clark's appearance on Good Morning America

When Looking and studying the sea during unit one and two, I researched in to two artists that I took major influence from and helped my work progress. In this essay I will be comparing the two artists. The artist’s that I will be comparing are Maggi Hambling and Kurt Jackson. The elements I will be discussing are intentions, subject matter, what inspired the artist, use of media, colour, technique, size, composition and viewer interaction. What Hambling is trying to achieve within her paintings is the intense, powerful moment when a wave comes crashing down.
Kate Chopin's The Awakening is a literary work full of symbolism. Sea, Birds, clothes, houses and other narrative elements are powerful symbols which add meaning to the novel and to the characters. I will analyze the most relevant symbols presented in Chopin's literary work. SEA The voice of the sea is seductive; never ceasing, whispering, clamoring, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander for a spell in abysses of solitude; to lose itself in mazes of inward contemplation. The voice of the sea speaks to the soul.
The Construction of Character in Blueback Techniques to create novels can be difficult, one of which is the construction of a character that relies on many conventions. Plot, setting and dialogue are some of which that help with the construction of character. The plot builds the novel and the characters; the plot contains vital information to help understand the character more clearly It is clear that many conventions help build up a character and in Blueback by Tim Winton (1997) he does this very well. Blueback has a brilliantly unique connection with Abel. As Abel has lived his whole life near the sea he developed a connection, when he first met Blueback it is the same kind of connection, it wasn’t an ideal greeting though, Blueback grabbing Abel’s arm in the water and dragging him around, but it was more than that, it was a handshake, a connection within only a few moments Blueback & Abel made a connection that seemed unbreakable a unique greeting, a unique connection.
They are psychological, physiological, mental/emotional, and spiritual. As I’ve been exploring the relationship between these aspects with the theme of the short story of internal and external conflict. And according to its definition, we find that conflict is the struggle between two opposing forces or two elements or ideas struggling for mastery within a person. Jerry and his mother have left England to visit a seaside route they have visited in the past. As they walked to the crowded beach on the first morning of their vacation, Jerry paused at the path to a wild, rocky bay area nearby.
Did you know that the Blue Bottle is also known as the Portuguese Man Of War. This is because it looks like a Portuguese battleship with a sail. They live in the warm waters all over the world. They live in large groups, sometimes in groups of thousands. When it is windy and the sea is rough they sometimes get washed up on the beach.
nal Tyler Kerth Journal Entry 1 June 07, 2012 Today was one of the few days that I have had off from work. Typically on these day I like to relax just a little bit, but wasn’t the case today. I decided to go out to Hillsdale Lake on one of my friend’s boats and wake and tube. The most fun part of the boat extravaganza was when I was tubing. We would play a game where we dragged two tubes behind the boat and we would try to see how many times we could successfully transfer from one to another.
There are so many good reasons to return the tidal swell, or surf back to the Long Beach coastline. There is the surfing community, tourism, revenue from parking as well as parking violations, fishing, swimming, and of course the marine habitat. The marine habitat has to be considered first above all else. In closing, one can forget all of the benefits that this project will have on the residents of Long Beach, but the fish and marine habitat cannot be forgotten. One can wait on the profits the city will receive, the fisherman can wait, the swimmers must wait.
