| | | | Abstract Every country of the world is facing many alarming factors which are affecting to the development of country like population, recession, illiteracy, terrorism, and so on. I would like to share the biggest question in front of world that is illiteracy like functional, cultural and moral illiteracy in this essay. The best definition of illiteracy is the inability use language to speak, write, read and listen. Because of illiteracy, a great number of people are limited in their ability to clearly communicate with each other. Even in the developed countries also, illiteracy is very common, but no one knows that it can lead a developed country to the bottom. In simple language, illiteracy means “lacking culture, especially in language and literature” [1]. According to Ronald Nash, [2] there are three types of illiteracy, Functional Illiteracy, Cultural Illiteracy and Moral Illiteracy. So, illiteracy has broad meaning according to its type. The restoration of functional, cultural, and moral literacy requires that we expose the ideologies and movements which have promulgated relativistic nonsense and moral bankruptcy. Now the first on is Functional Illiteracy. Functional Illiteracy means unable to read and write. So, now days there are many countries in the world having Functional illiteracy rate is very high that can be affected to the development of country. It is also important to increase the literacy rate in all over the world, because then only the difference between developed countries and under developed countries
