Corporate has to establish a sense of urgency letting employees know what the company current weakness is and what the goals that they are trying to achieve are. Corporate will need to put the associates in direct contact with the unhappy customers as well as having the associate effectively trained to assist customers once this new technology is installed. Secondly, Sandwich Blitz has to create a guiding coalition by putting together their managers and supervisors to work as a team with the power to lead the change that the company is about to face. At this point the company will need leaders to motivate the sales associate to adopt the changes with a positive attitude. When conducting an audit, one must develop a concrete understanding of a business and the type of environment the business operates in. The auditor must examine all the elements that make up the business and that also must include an understanding of the company’s internal controls. Once the auditor has a genuine understanding of the business; the auditor will establish material information, and create a series of procedures for the audit. In the instance of Apollo Shoes, an audit was conducted on the financial reports, the sales and collection cycle, and the payroll and personnel cycle. The final step of an audit design program would be to audit Apollo Shoes’ inventory and warehousing cycle and the cash cycle.
They decided to give applicants the retail market knowledge exam, the Marshfield customer service biodata questionnaire and essay, Marshfield applicant exam and the personality exam. In my opinion of the four assessments, the retail market knowledge exam, the Marshfield customer service biodata questionnaire and personality exam will work best for the company. This will provide Tanglewood with applicants’ experience and basic knowledge of marketing principles. The biodata will access past performance in and outside the work place. The personality exam will access the two traits that are relevant to a store associates position, capturing the constructs of conscientiousness and extraversion.
First, consider whether or not the data collected will pose legal ramifications for Kudler. Are we as an organization going to implement security controls to protect the consumer’s credit information, such as, credit card numbers, customer name and billing address? Are we going to utilize the purchase cycle data to analyze the habits of our consumers to market more products? Are we going to sell any of this information to marketing companies to help us to conduct ad campaigns for Kudler Fine Foods? Second, how do we deal with the ethical challenges that come with a Frequent Shopper Program, such as, Kickbacks?
The company should consult Anne Shousha, its legal counsel, regarding consumer privacy laws, antitrust laws, and laws governing the collection of consumer information. The company should draw up a contract for customers to agree to upon entering into the loyalty program. The company should also ensure the proper security measures are in place to protect customer data. Political Kudler must adequately train management and make sure to meet with managers from each facility to make sure that they understand the changes that are taking place. The company will have to forge alliances with partners to participate in the loyalty program which will affect the sales department as well as upper management.
