Offering work programs that help prepare young people for management or skilled positions is a good way to take crime off of the streets while showing to the community that the business cares about the welfare of the population. This can help bring in a group of potential profit earners for the company while at the same time reducing crime in the stores and the surrounding neighborhood. The improved reputation could only serve to bring in shoppers who are more prone to visit the larger and cheaper chains such as Walmart. While this will incur immediate liability costs as the plan is enacted, the end result benefiting the shareholders is a cheaply trained future leadership staff, an improved reputation for the company as a whole, and a long term boost in
By portraying this type of idea through the media instead of them highlighting news stories of the police shooting African-American teens we can change the way people think about America. With the media showing the world racial tension they only create more anger and disruption in the world, more people see this and more racial tension builds. It's just a cycle that will never solve a problem. Introduce a new way of thinking and you start seeing change. The media isn't completely evil though, they do show appreciation towards other cultures in America through covering culturally based events and festivals that show Americans that there is much pride in being from another country in the United States.
Law enforcement also helps and acts in the Weed and seed programs. How does this related to the social control theory? By taking out of the community or lessening the high crime in the environment helps to change the social standing of the surrounding people. In other words if you change the social surroundings for the better then, I think that the negatives. For instance if there are more employed people in the neighborhood the need for crime should go down, because then people have the means to make a living, and this sets a good example for the children in the communities that see people work hard to have a livelihood.
This because such children who have records of crime develop to become uncontrollable gangs in the society. In this view, the government has dedicated a lot of resources to rehabilitative projects in order to reduce these numbers. In addition, a number of intervention measures have been engaged to help the society to control criminal delinquents. However, there is still much to be done. In this article, we shall evaluate the effectiveness of the measures that have been taken to control the children and adolescents who have a high risk of future offending.

An investigation of these engagements showed Oxfam to be particularly effective at engaging “warm” to “hot” audiences – those young people who are aware of global issues and are willing to support our work. A new strategy however is needed for the effective engagement of “cold” audiences – those young people who may not be aware of social justice issues or who may not have access to appropriate ways in which they can become engaged. We recognise the potential within this latter demographic - their capacity to bring about change today and become future supporters of Oxfam. What does Elliot Engel suggest that we do to get at crime? I quote Elliot Engel ‘’ the way to prevent crime is to take that money and build more prisons, okay? I would say that´s the way too. To deal with it, is to have a mix of prevention so you have these youth programmes to keep kids off the streets and give them something to do. You use the money to create jobs or create schools, learning programmes, so these kids can get skills so they can be productive citizens.
We need officers to step up and do a better job of stopping these crimes because it’s tearing our city apart. Officers do a great job of being there to give out parking tickets but very seldom are around when homicide crimes are in action. If we increase the number of officers in the city we would be able to scatter around the city more and be able to react to action quicker. The city could get a federal grant to hire more officers and the Detroit citizens need more jobs available so
These systems emerged with one purpose: guarantee an improvement in the quality of life of the citizens in Bogotá by the optimization of public levels of transportation (Source 1). Some of the objectives of the new system are using technology to decrease accident rates and increase accessibility to the users.
