Democratic National Convention. Democratic Nomination Acceptance. (Thank you so much. Thank you, everybody.) Mister Chairman, delegates, I accept your nomination for presidency of the United States. These times are hard. Terrors, problems... If you're sick of hearing me approve this message, believe me, so am I. It will be a little long, but in the end, when all is said and done, you will face a clearest choice. In the next few years, very big decisions will be made in the White House for different aspects like the economy, jobs, energy, taxes, education, war and peace etc., and these decisions will have a huge impact on our lives as on our children's lives. And the choice you face won't just be between 2 candidates or 2 parties. It will be a choice between 2 different paths for America, a choice between 2 totally different visions of live, visions of the future. And we, we have to fight to restore the values of America, the values our soldiers defended in the different wars. We are a part of something very big — a nation that fight fascism and depression, a nation which can be proud of their innovations. Yes, I will not deny that America has some little things which are wrong. Now, our Republican friends were more than very happy to talk about the things they think are wrong with America. But they didn't have much to say about how to make it right. They want you to vote for them, but there is something strange, they don't want you to know their plans for the few future years. I won't say you that the way I choose is easy or quick. I never have. I won't tell you what you exactly want to hear. I will tell you the truth. And the truth here is, that our problems can be resolved, America just needs a common effort, responsibility. It can be better. I promise I will cut taxes for those who really need it, like middle-class
