Most of my study time is planned for when Lois has gone to bed. Evaluation; Having Saturday off work or studying is really important to me and I need to recharge my batteries sometimes. I have lots of family and relaxing time but this can also be a time friends or family come over to us. As this is a normal office week this cannot always happen so sometimes it can be tough. Analysis; I have 22 months to go on this course and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to get the best out of me.
When a paper comes up and asks to go over the topic, I go back to the chapter and read over it again quickly. I need to fully read in detail the entire chapter instead of skimming over it. It’s a habit I get from the military; you only read the essential details instead of the entire reading. • How might you incorporate three of the suggestions covered this week into your study time? A great suggestion I found useful was reading in blocks of time with short breaks in between readings.
Don’t try to cram all of your studying in at once; it is best to take breaks in between. You may study for an hour and then take a ten to fifteen minute break or nap. Taking naps after learning something new helps the brain absorb the knowledge better than studying for hours at a time. “Your memory retains the information that you study at the beginning and the end better than what you study in the middle” (Linksman, 2003). It is best to study one topic at a time and to review the notes and materials frequently throughout the week.

This plan will help me accomplish my goals by building my vocabulary, helping me to be more focused with my studies, and will have more knowledge about many different topics. Adding more words to my vocabulary is beneficial to me because I will be able to understand more of what my family, friends and co-workers are talking about. It will also help me with my studies, and also when I have to write a paper or presentation.
Mine include spending an entire weekend with my computer on my lap working on that 24 page final paper for Mr. Hale's class, pausing only long enough to get another cup of coffee! We’ve all had the pleasure of waiting for hours in line to get into the bookstore on the first day of the new quarter, only to wait an hour or longer to get out of the bookstore and then pray that we make it to the first class of the day - on time! We have made lifelong friends, learned to be part of a community and had some crazy adventures. For you, some of those could have been all night study groups with too much food and way too much caffeine, those students involved in sports who had bus trips to away games or the field trips like mine to the Dayton Art Institute (for Art Appreciation) when a few students got lost or one whose car wouldn’t start afterwards. These adventures provided us with fun, stress, and new appreciation as lessons learned by life itself.
The Complete Beginners Column A) The advice given in the first four paragraphs is that you should sit down in one quiet place and just think about what you are writing. Try not to get distracted and like going to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee to just waste some time. The text also says that you should make a routine for yourself and not just write once a month or once a fortnight but for as many hours that you can manage. It also suggests that if you are busy and you don’t have enough time to write everyday that you should at least write three times a week. It suggests that you force yourself to write on the days that you cant be bothered to write because every good author will tell you that writing is not
Gerson Guevarra Professor Juarez English A: MW 9:30 am November 29, 2010 My Journey to Reading and Writing (Re-write) Reading is a natural habit that most people will learn in life. Everybody learns differently however. Some may be faster than others, and some may be slower. The reading process as a whole is a very complex area, and is constantly changing. For me, reading and comprehending has been a challenge throughout my life from learning to speak English as a language, finding the interest for reading, and being able to understand the things I read.
The two personal issues that I plan to focus on and improve are gaining self awareness and adopting lifelong learning. By writing will improve my self-awareness and I will improve my English reading and writing by adopting lifelong learning. I will improve my self-awareness by writing. In school, I have a problem with my writing skills, and I was diagnosed with a learning disability. My English is so poor; I want to improve my English.
