No matter in the past or present, Motorola in China is an interesting case and its ups-and-downs worth paying attention to, so I am going to analyse the strategies of Motorola in China in this research. Many Chinese people began to know the cellular phones from Motorola products, as such service providers as Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint use cellular devices that Motorola creates and manufactures. Motorola has a wholly-owned company, a holding company, 24 subsidiaries and 9 joint ventures, with more than 12,000 employees in China. By now, the total investment of Motorola in China is more than 3.5 billion dollars. After 19 years of development Motorola has made a big success in China and is now a widely known brand. “Business Week claims that, unlike Microsoft so far, Motorola has earned a good reputation in China due to its sustained investment and open attitudes.
