I think these are skills that I’ve developed over the years being part of a quality assurance organization. You have to have solutions when in a bind, often there is no delaying the implementation of code. I am highly organized, which helps me keep notes, testing status and issues and risk logs handy. My weaknesses are my inability to be as flexible as I need to be. My schedule doesn’t allow for a lot of give, so everything I do is with purpose and on time.
Knowing the internal and external factors as a manager can make the difference between success and failure of a business. Managers should be flexible when making decisions within an organization. The organization I have selected is my friend’s business, a local automotive shop. His shop is growing and business is very busy. Constant improvements are being made in all areas of his business in order to help it succeed.
Though the jobs were in extreme conditions, the immigrants accepted their lives in Toronto. For example, Nicholas Temelcoff, one of the characters, does the most dangerous job on the construction of the bridge everyday but Nicholas seems to even embrace the thrill, ‘‘he is happiest at daily chores’’ (Ondaatje 34). The immigrants learn to embrace their and having the same types of jobs, the immigrants or outsiders tend to regroup at night. At first, it is hard to restart their lives but once they do, they can move on and start a more stable job or business. In contrast, the conditions of immigrants before migrating were much harder.
You have plenty of locations and if you firmly believe in your company culture, than those who come work for you will stay. Overstaffing vs. understaffing Being a retail chain of stores I believe that during down season it would be better to be understaffed since you are not as large as other retailers and cannot afford to waste money. However, during high season you should overstaff since you want to maintain that great and comfortable experience for your customers that you are well known for. This is another reason for having a flexible workforce. Short vs. long-term focus In the case of short or long term focus when it comes to employment, it is my opinion that it depends on what you are looking for.
Although Fire Fighter’s and Border Patrol are very different on the outside, they share internal values which connects them in some way . Many people are obligated to believe that these’s individual helping our city ,country or state are very similar, on the contrast other’s simply believe they are very diverse. Yet many people don’t realize the little details about each career. Signifying the salary wage they obtain every year , or even monthly . The educational requirement they might have to acquire either of the two career’s .
The lack of on site childcare causes many people to miss work with the odd schedules we worked which required many working late into the evening and on weekends. One of my sources stated, “Today many businesses face recruitment and retention issues, asking how to attract and keep the best and brightest. For some, on-site childcare is a valuable employee benefit as well as a sound business decision. It is important for a business to think about its responsibility to understand the family issues faced by its workforce as well as the larger issues.” (“On site child,”) This benefit would be greatly appreciated by the employees who a parents of small children. It’s only logical for our center to implement the on site child care since it is currently in many of the Verizon call centers nationwide.
I realize that I do not know very much about local resources. I have started a portfolio, which I update constantly; however, there is not enough information about local resources which are available for my clients. As for collaboration, sometimes I feel as if I should already know things because I have been there for a while and get a little embarrassed to ask, therefore causing me to feel as if I am on my own. Whenever I do supervision time, my MSW always tells me that I am doing a great job. I am sure I can improve in many areas and I wish my MSW would tell me what those areas
I think it could be very rewarding helping people get back on the right path. I love to work with people and it is not a regular desk job so it would solve my problem of becoming bored easily. I would work with a multitude of people and each day would be different. On the other hand, it is not a 9-5 job and it would keep me away from my family due to the heavy demands and caseloads. I could also be in danger working with convicted felons.
He was asked how he finds balance in his life after long hours and busy days (Johnson, 2012). His reply was “I enjoy going to the gym; it seems to alleviate some of the stress and tension that can build up over the day. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends—people who are special in my life” (Johnson, 2012, p. 80). If you don’t take care of yourself physically and mentally, you will not be fit to care for others. Life is about balance, and we have to learn to leave work at work and find time for family and fun outside of the
I have to interact with people on a daily basis and I often have to persuade the jury to do what’s right. I’m awesome because I make a lot of cash for negotiating with people and not being sympathetic to people who commit crimes. The D.A. has taught me skills such as learning how to be persuasive and professional when the time comes. The best part of work is that I have the time to go back to my family and enjoy my life until tomorrow @ 10:00.
