The teachers also should have stepped in when they saw the fight happening and not just stood there. It teaches us students that we should stand up for kids, and teachers are not always the good person in the situation and there could be favoring. In conclusion, I think that The Chocolate War was a very good book that taught very interesting lessons. It always makes me think twice but saying, “no” to something that I should do. I think the lesson here is to just plain out respect everyone and you will not have any problems.
When people think of school, a safe environment for students to learn comes to mind. Students learn knowledge happily and safety. However, when people think about gun, they always think about violence, danger and unsafe environment. Therefore, an environment for safe learning should not have guns. The school hires school security to protect the campus and they should be enough protection.
There is a meeting with management and election has been won by the labor union. Karen is consulted to get the x-rays and she sneaks through files to do so. She is once again contaminated at work and her house is ran-sacked to check for deposits of plutonium. She has realized she accidently spilled her urine sample, which had been spiked. Karen then finds out she is internally contaminated and takes a trip to Los Alamos for a complete body scan with noted doctors.
The worst thing she passed was when she got raped. Melinda survived being bullied throughout her 9th grade School year, and then became popular; Bullying does not only happen in this novel, but can happen in the real life, as what happened to the kid in The Everest School last year. He was kicked out of the school because of the bullying situation, and it was the end of his life. Melinda’s situation with bullying was different but it was worst because she was the one being
The main concept I learned through this stimulation that I can relate with is making an informed choice that will protect everyone involved. You have got to be careful when faced with ethical dilemmas because you are responsible for make the choice. I learned through this stimulation that you can avoid ethical issues as long as you take the necessary steps. If the company would have waited for the results from the lab these ethical dilemmas would have never happened. Being the quality control manager was very insightful and taught me what could happen if certain steps are
Promoting Mr. Hamler to training manager will be a great asset to see this strategy done. We also need to do a recall on our recent shipment of greasex. The entire shipment was sent out with possibly faulty product and we don’t want injury, lawsuit, or returns to occur. These “faulty” shipments will stop once we have trained supervisors like Wayne Simmons on the consequences and hindrance of said decisions. Lastly, we need to empower our inspectors to have the authority to stop production when a bad sample is detected.
Zero Tolerance rules started with the best of intentions in the early 1980’s to counter increased exposure to drugs in schools. The rules were expanded to weapons so that districts could work to safeguard students from an increase in school violence during the early 1980’s. Research is showing that zero-tolerance rules aren’t working to counter student’s aggressive behaviors, and in many ways have created stressors on systems that weren’t designed to mange large amounts of students outside school. To counter aggressive behaviors in schools research is showing that student trainings, through social skills and anti-aggression instruction, are one of the only effective tools in changing student’s behaviors to a point where there is an overall reduction in aggressive and dangerous behaviors in the school setting (Wilson & Lipsey,
Supreme Court Decision My decision for this particular case is that Principal Morse has not violated the 1st amendment. She didn’t take Frederick’s rights away. I give her the right to punish students when violating school policy, mission, or other’s students’ rights. Students who violate in a disruptive manner, other’s rights, at school time and events related to school will be responsible for their own acts and will face the consequences. The principal is responsible to make the school mission effective, safe, under control, and give each individual their rights that the constitution provides them.
It is good that we have a policy in place to help prevent violence in schools and keep people safe from harm. Students that have minor offenses should not result in severe punishments. This is why the zero tolerance policy needs to be fixed. (Hentoff, 2011) An honor-roll student got expelled from school because she possessed a nail clipper on her while she was in school. A third grader in a Christian school got expelled due to her grandmother sending her a birthday cake with a knife for cutting it, to school.
That is the best thing they do for their children. Some times, children don’t know a gun is real, and they can hurt someone or their self accidentally. For example, the 16 year old girl hurted herself when she and her friend were handling a gun in a Grand Rapids (Sandra Martinez). In addition, children don’t have enough knowledge when one is good or bad so they cannot respond to what they did. We have a news come up everyday such as two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, killing 12 students and 1 teacher, and injured other 21 student at Columbine High School massacre, on Tuesday, April 20, 1999(wilipedia) .
