I would be doing this because of the consequences it will have (Feldman, 2013). The motivation proposal I am working on will be for my family and friends; I want to motivate them in both intrinsic and extrinsic. Making an exercise program that will accomplish will be intrinsic because they will feel good about themselves after working out and extrinsic because they will also gain other rewards from doing it, such as being healthier, staying fit, and losing weight. So both types of motivates will play a role in the proposal. The results I hope to gain from this proposal are my friends and family giving it a try and hopefully staying with it.
Teen-Parent Communication About Sex When young people feel unconnected at home, family, and school, they may become involved in activities that put their health at risk. However, when parents affirm the values of their children, young people often develop positive, healthy attitudes about themselves, therefore delaying in sexual activity. The writer’s purpose(s) for writing these articles is because risky teen behavior is on the rise, and what are parents and families doing/not doing to promote safe behavior? I chose these articles because I am a teen parent, and I feel that if I had been able to have “the talk” sooner, more in depth, and more often, that it may have prevented my pregnancy. Teen Sexuality’s research showed a few things: Adolescents who stated that they were connected with their parents were more likely than other teens to delay sexual intercourse.
There are positive and negative effects of young athletes based on their parents involvement. Motivating a young athlete helps them perform better in school and on the field. Children need to know that their parents are there for them. Teachers, counsellors, and coaches are there to motivate kids but their parents should be their big motivator because kids like looking up to someone as a role model and it should be the person who is in charge of the household. Showing commitment to a child by coming to every game they have helps them to feel happy and want to be committed following their dreams of being a part of a sport they would like doing.
It was said that one ‘solution’ to the ‘problem’ of inequity was to ‘educate the parents’ (Thomson, P 2002, p. 3) and encourage them to ‘supervise’ their children whilst doing homework. This suggests that with the parent’s encouragement and reinforcement towards the child, they are more likely to want to succeed and feel they have the right to succeed, instead of there being a boundary between the advantaged and disadvantaged children. The parents of both Vicki and Thanh want the best for their children, to graduate and achieve a ‘university’ (Thomson, P 2002, p.2) degree. However Vicki is more likely to succeed because of her parent’s educational background and will be able to provide the support that she needs going through school, whereas Thanh will have to find other sources for educational help because his parents do not have the knowledge that he
Does he have an ethical care obligation to his wife and his children? Should he ask for help from his supervisor to be trained in work-life balance? The answers to these questions are “yes”. Johnny does have an ethic of care obligation to his wife and his children. Research findings have pointed to the importance of care-oriented morality for human growth, especially identity and personality development.
Last is the option of continuous open adoption. With this type of adoption the adoptive and biological parents plan to keep in touch through the adoptee’s life (Berry 1). Now that there are a variety of different open adoption options, it is more realistic for families to choose open adoption over closed adoption. When discussing the topic of open adoption, the three main topics that are argued are the adoptee, the adoptive parent, and the birth parent. These will be used to convince the audience that open adoption has far more advantages than disadvantages.
Some agree that if, “Birthparents and adult adopted persons who desire to have contact should be able to do so, when both agree” (Atwood 16). By giving their child up for adoption the child should have the rights to become in contact with their birth parents. The child should be able to figure out the backgrounds from where his/her parents came from, and if they should be aware of any disease or health problems that could affect them. There should always be that option open of fully knowing any information that the child should be concerned about. By making an adoption open, benefits both sides because the connection are still kept with their
I also look forward to being able to watch my children grow up, doing well in school and succeed in life. I am really hoping to be an example in their lives as someone that they can look up to. I want to show them that they can achieve anything they want as long as they try and work to make their dreams a reality. I also hope to expand my family some day in the future. I would love to give my children more siblings, but not before I finish school and am in a good career and as well as in a stable relationship or marriage.
Advices from others are more realistic and reliable yet personal experience enhances your maturity. However, I think that learning through personal experience is preferable because experience is more memorable and indispensable in life. Advice from family and friends are more realistic since it is what they have been through and it helps you to predict the result. Family members such as your parents’ advices are considered valuable because they can give you proper and sincere guidance on every aspect in life through their experiences or common sense. For instant, my parent told me not to play with fire.
Introduction From the moment we were born, our parents dreamt something for us to be in the future, hence, they planned to give and expose us into things that could help us to achieve the dreams they’ve been or we’ve been dreaming of. We often set goals- both the long term and short term- in order to encourage us to pursue and motivate ourselves to finish the task. If achieved, we feel great and competent on the task. The same in education, teachers dream great things for their students but the question is HOW? As far as the Early Childhood Education is concern, teachers must consider their students’ capabilities at their (students) certain age.
