The way I improved my paper was taking my instructors constructive criticism and making the necessary corrections, to the best of my ability. I had obvious problems with the comma usage, dangling modifiers, and it was no question that I have to improve my vocabulary. Referring back to the text book and using the Thesaurus definitely helped me make the best revisions that I can make. The most challenging part of this assignment for me was to expand the use of my vocabulary. I know a lot of words; I just don’t use them in my everyday conversation, thus making it more difficult to incorporate in my essay.

What we look for are theories that will influence our workplace configuration.. The goal is to find out from our employees how do they feel about outlook in the future and where they feel their skills are better suited in assisting the companies future success. We have learned in the past that when you increase responsibilities by challenging people with new projects will improve their engagement in the workplace.
But, this does very little in protecting you against some other guys writing a spreadsheet which is more user friendly, calculates faster, and provides more functions, even though you were the inventor of the spreadsheet. There are only so many general purpose software programs. The rest of computer software is specialized, developed for a particular purpose, to solve a specific problem. These specific software solutions may rely on the general purpose solutions, but refine them. By refining them they become specific applications targeting a specific set of users with a specific set of problems.
How do we become knowledge workers within our own organizations? Hammer (2004) suggests that we are entering an age where we will all be knowledge workers. I find some truth in that because we are always learning from our peers, our employees, and our supervisors. But it is necessary for us to know where that newfound knowledge comes from by finding its source. I am the type of person who wants to know everything and be the best at every task I perform, and doing the necessary work to identify the appropriate source of information will make that task just a bit easier.
Decision making can be expedited when rapid response are required. Using an intuitive approach can help most people express their thoughts while also applying some rational to each decision thereafter. There are often times where circumstances leave no time to go through complete rational analysis, this is why I was surprised that this exercise, given the situation, was not timed – both for the individual and group ranking of the items. Fast paced thinking could have factored on which each person based their reasoning behind their ranking, and the scores could have been very different. In a case of survival, there is usually very limited structure to the problem.

To conduct such an analysis, the tasks of a job must be analyzed to identify the range of skills necessary got the employee to perform their jobs in the organization. This may be done through a survey listing each skill and asking several questions about
Although a controversial topic, a common ground has been found on defining and measuring intellectual power, however there is not a precise definition accepted by all in the field of psychology. ”At a conceptual level, most psychologists agree that intelligence includes the ability to reason abstractly, the ability to profit from experience, and the ability to adapt to varying environmental contexts. Consequently, most tests of intelligence include tasks that require examinees to use these abilities. Still, most of us have a greatly inflated notion of the permanence or importance of an IQ score” (Bee & Boyd, 2012). In this paper, I will discuss the IQ test, as well as other tests, used for measuring intellectual power and the effect intellectual power may have on future learning ability.
