Human Resource planning is the process of managing an organization's most valuable asset—people—so that there are no shortages or surpluses of employees in the organization. (C. Youssef, 2012). With Human resource planning you want to make sure you have the right amount of people and the right people to do the job. The HR planning process is very important to the achievement of the organizations strategic objectives. You want to make sure that you have the right employees and that the employees understand and share the values and objectives of the organization. When you have employees who are aligned with the companies goals and objectives they want to see the organization succeed and this help the organization to achieve their objectives. Those employees who are aligned with the company’s goals and vision tend to be more productive to help reach those goals. The organization where I work they do a great deal of employee referrals but they also utilize internal and external resources for recruiting. Employee referrals are nice because we get a day off if we refer someone and if they are hired. Before the interview process my employer perform testing on the applicants to see if they can follow simple and basic instruction this process helps a lot in what we do at the unemployment office. The interview process is away for my organization to explain exactly what we do and get feedback from candidates to see if they would be a good fit for the work we do in servicing the community.
