How to manage stress effectively among university students ? University can be one of the most mentally stressing places for any individual. But students pursuing higher education at a graduate level will need to be especially careful of maintaining a healthy stress level. Too much stress can actually be physically, mentally and academically damaging to graduate students. Without proper understanding and management, students can suffer from low concentration, anger, depression and even anxiety-induced health problems. All of these things contribute to a falling grade. There are many ways to manage stress effectively among university students. Students must have a plan for their day, eat healthy and allocate time for exercise in order to reduce the stress level. Firstly, many students get into stressful situations because they are trying to cram too much information. Proper planning ensures all activities are done on time. A proper calendar of events should be maintained, and it should include major actions such as submission dates for reports and exam dates. In addition to this, a proper plan should be put in place to act on the key events indicated on the calendar. This way will be very effective in reducing student’s stress level. Other than that, students also have plenty of time for other activities in order to enjoy their life. So, students must practice this step which is proper plan for each day to solve the stress problem. Secondly, over consumption of food, especially heavily processed foods, will increase the likelihood of introducing stress-related substances into the body. No matter how small your allowance is, try to budget for greens and fruits, which are great for the body. Health food not only builds the body, but it helps in the expulsion of harmful toxins (some of which are known to enhance stress). Preparation of your own food is advisable
