Preview: -The Italian translation for tiramisu is "carry me up." -Tiramisu is a pudding-like dessert -originally made as a loose custard, it is only in recent years that using mascarpone cheese has come into fashion Trans: Gather together all necessary ingredients and items (bowls and such) I. Ingredients: A. 1 pound of mascarpone (Italian cheese) B. ¼ cup of sugar C. 2 Tablespoons of Amaretto (Left out in class because we can’t use alcohol) D. 1 cup of heavy cream E. 24 Ladyfingers F. 1 cup of espresso G. ½ cup of chopped chocolate Trans: Things needed A. Large Bowl B. Whisk C. 8-inch square pan II. In a Large bowl whisk the Mascarpone, sugar, and amaretto together until smooth III. In a chilled bowl and chilled beaters whip the cream until soft peaks form. IV. Fold the cream into the mascarpone mixture. V. Dip half the ladyfingers in the espresso and layer them on the bottom of the pan. VI. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers VII. Sprinkle with chocolate VIII. Dip the remaining ladyfingers in the espresso IX. Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture till smooth on top X. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate XI. Cover with plastic wrap XII. Refrigerate Summary: This is a wonderful, and simple desert to make that most people will love and believe that you spent more time on than you need to.
