How to make an Amazing Peach Cobbler Here I will tell you how to make an amazing peach cobbler with delicious homemade buttery flakey crust and juicy ripe peaches that taste delicious every time you make it. The best part about this recipe is the crust and that amazing peach filling. There is a lot to this recipe but it is well worth it. For this recipe you will need the following items starting with the filling; 2 lbs. sliced frozen/canned peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, 8 tbsp. butter, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg, 1 ½ cup water, 2 tsp vanilla extract and 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour. The ingredients for that buttery flakey crust; 1 cup butter flavored shortening, 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 1/3 cup ice water. Now it’s time to do the mixing!! Gather all of your ingredients for the crust and a large mixing bowl. The first step is to add 2 cups of sifted flour into the large mixing bowl along with 1 cup butter flavored shortening. Then use a pastry cutter or dough hooks to mix well, once all the ingredients are combined and resemble crumbs add the 1/3 cup of ice water use the folding method to combine, and lastly form a ball. Warp the dough ball with plastic wrap or whatever you may have set in the refrigerator for no less than 40 minutes. Next we’re going to get started on the peach cobbler filling!! Gather all of your ingredients for the filling and a large pot. Place your peaches in the large pot, note** if you’re using canned peaches you may skip adding 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar or add to your desired taste** add 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, ¼ tsp. nutmeg, turn heat to medium high and mix ingredients well.
