1- Introduction The job market it’s getting more competitive every single day. So when the opportunity comes, it’s important to do everything to not let it go to waste. And in order to get the job, you need to pass the traditional rite of passage: interview. Job interviews can be very stressful and nerve racking, and they aren’t getting any easier, therefore it’s necessary to “arm” yourself in order to succeed. This term work will focus on tips and advice to help show that you are a right person and get the job. 2- Before the Interview Before you get the interview, you have to send a résumé to the place you’re applying. A résumé is a document that contains a summary of your job experience and skills, and it’s the first thing that your future employer will see. I Therefore it’s important to make a really good résumé in order to get through the next face: the interview. The résumé should be brief and contain relevant information for the job you’re applying. If you’re applying for a job at a radio station, you should put the experience information related to that area. It doesn’t matter that you work in a Supermarket, in 2007. That information it’s not relevant for the application. It should also include your skills and everything should be presented with good grammar and appealing design. 3- Preparing for the Interview Once your résumé it’s selected, you will receive a call asking if you’re available for an interview. Now you have to work on the necessary arrangements to actually get the job that you applied, because let’s remember that there are other people trying to get the same job as you.
