My favorite is Fufu, a native word for “pap” or “nshima”. Fufu is originally a traditional dish for central Africa, as to be specific, the Democratic Republic of Congo. To most African people, It is a very tasty meal. The only difference is that it has a different name in some parts of Africa. Some call it pap, fufu, nshima, bukari, e.t.c. Fufu is actually like fast food in Africa, what am trying to say is that most people in Africa eat Fufu as much as people here eat fast food. Some people have different views about this traditional dish. Some say it is difficult to prepare. Some say it is a waste of time preparing it. Several of them say it keeps you satisfied for a very long time and you would not be able to eat anything else. The majority of them say fufu causes constipation, and for them, this is actually annoying. Tasteless is another word used to describe Fufu. To my surprise some Africans also agree with some of these people’s views. This really surprised me because I have never heard with my own ears an African person saying this. Imagine a American telling you they do not eat or like barbeque, or they think that it is nasty. Fufu is a very nutritious dish, however great preparation of the dish leads to outstanding nutritiousness. My own experience and view of this traditional dish is that it is very healthy, in the sense that they have vitamins C and d as well as minerals. I am emphasizing because Fufu is much healthier than fast foods, pizza, pasta, potatoes or
