There are many less privileged people in the societies these days. Who are these people then? The less privileged people simply refer to people who are poorer and have no social advantages, or people who are unable or allowed to do things that most people have opportunity to do. It can also mean people who are physically or mentally disabled. These are the people who require extra help and care from others. But who really cares for them? I feel that most people of the public are indeed aware of the less privileged in the society, but is either unwilling to help or just don’t bother to help out, as they do not want to waste time or money. On the other hand, governments and related organisations have already started assisting and helping these people by giving them financial assistance etc. As such, there are thus many ways for young people to help and show care for the less privileged. Some of the ways include voluntary work, conducting talks about the less privileged to reach out to the public, and joining charity organizations to help out for the less privileged. Young people can become a volunteer in homes for the less privileged and take care of them to show care for the less privileged. By becoming a volunteer, the young people will get to experience the way of life of these less privileged people, and will be able to understand the feelings and situations the less privileged face. The less privileged people will also be pleased as it definitely feels good to know that someone do care for them and is willing to take care and spend time with them. For instance, I myself had volunteered in an orphanage with my classmates before, during an overseas CIP trip in Indonesia. The living conditions there were quite bad as there were about 10 to 20 orphans are cramped in a small little house. The roofs have holes and the children do not even have a proper shoe
