This essay will briefly describe two theories about the mysteries behind how the pyramids of Giza were constructed. Throughout the years there have been numerous theories on how these pyramids were built. These theories are usually based on the premise that it would have been impossible for the ancient Egyptians to have built the pyramids themselves with the tools and resources which were available at that time. The exact techniques employed by these Egyptian builders in the construction of their pyramids during the Fourth Dynasty (c.2649-2513 BC) still remain uncertain. Even today, with all the methods of planning and construction equipment, it would still be very difficult to build the pyramids.
Many theories and hypothesis were made, even published. Some were based on scientific knowledge, others on theology and a few on the supernatural, such as extraterrestrial’s help, but none had any hard evidence that supported the ideas. To this day, the construction of the pyramids still remains a mystery. Some believed that the pyramids were ancient burial sites for the pharaohs, but most of the bodies were discovered in the Valley of the Kings, tucked away into the cliffs. The pyramids were constructed of stone blocks each weighing between 2 and 15 tons with the tallest pyramid standing at 481 feet high.
Most of them are made of limestone. They also took many years to build. The Nile River was where they were mostly built; they were also built during the times of 3000 bc to 2300 bc. After the pyramids were built the pyramids were normally robed by tomb robbers. These guys only wanted the valuables like gold and silver.
Archeological evidence shows that the bottom chamber was abandoned, while the second was named the queens chamber. The third and final chamber is called the kings chamber and it is located at the center of the pyramid. The Egyptians were known as the masters of megalithic construction. It is still a mystery today, including a lot of the other megalithic constructions such as Stonehenge, how a pyramid of this size and weight could have been created. The research will also cover the advance technology that was used to create this massive structure without machines of mass power.
Therefore, there are many design of the pyramid can’t be explained. For example, all three pyramids – Khufu, Khafe, Menkaure – are precisely aligned and the sides of the pyramids are rise at specific angle of 51.2 degrees. Besides that, the pyramid was built in 1700BC which only labour force was available. The core of the pyramid is built by yellowish limestone blocks, granite, each weighing on 2.5 tonnes and rising 203 courses. This accuracy is beyond comprehension, not only it would be deemed in today’s modern construction world, but probably more than could now be achieved.
There has been debate over this, due to the fact of the land of the Maya being destroyed. One of the fascinating characteristics of the Maya civilization was their architect (1). The Maya were noted for their elaborate and highly decorated ceremonial architecture, including temple-pyramids, palaces and observatories, all built without metal tools. This shows their intelligence and complexity. Of these the pyramids were very notable, according to archaeological evidence; it has been shown that the ancient Mayans began building their characteristic ceremonial structures, known as Mayan Pyramids or Pyramid-Temples, about 3,000 years back.
This animal is so big that it doesn’t fit size of any known fish. This evidence is not so clear. Maybe that animal is just a uncommon size known fish. Or maybe the sonar made mistake. Anyway, no one saw it clearly and no one can prove it is really an unknown animal.
Due to the size of their brain scientists believe that perhaps they didn’t make the tools and that I was the homosapiens. Mainly because it is unlikely that a creature with a brain size that small would be able to make such sophisticated tools. According to archaeologists both the “hobbit man” and the dwarfed elephants became extinct at around the same time due to a volcanic eruption 12,000 years prior to the discovery. Modern day humans (Homo sapiens) were thought to have
But this is not a view shared by Francesco d’Errico and João Zilhão who “claim that the Neanderthals developed the Châtelperronian tool industry in south-western France and northern Spain quite independently of the Cro-Magnons. They also believe that the Neanderthals ‘were capable of manufacturing the kinds of lithic [stone] and bone tools which have been found in Aurignacian levels’ (Palmer 2000, 190)”. To enforce their point, they highlight the fact “that there are Châtelperronian tools, especially some awls for perforating skins, from the Grotte du Renne, which are ‘decorated’ with sets of carefully made and regularly spaced notches … From this d’Errico and Zilhão conclude that the decoration was therefore part of an everyday and normal use of symbolism by the Neanderthals. Furthermore, it was an integral part of a late cultural development by them and not just something borrowed from the Cro-Magnons (Palmer 2000, 191)”. This use of art is a distinctly modern trait; the Neanderthals may well have had an artistic and
Most accepted construction theories are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place. There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid. The lowest chamber is cut into the bedrock upon which the pyramid was built and was unfinished. The so-called[1] Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber are higher up within the pyramid structure. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the main part of a complex setting of buildings that included two mortuary temples in honor of Khufu (one close to the pyramid and one near the Nile), three smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives, an even smaller "satellite" pyramid, a raised causeway connecting the two temples, and small mastaba tombs surrounding the pyramid for nobles.
