“I think Tim Winton was trying to suggest to the readers that as teens we are only young once and that we should enjoy being a teenager without the pressure and hassle of trying to be an adult. I believe that’s why Lockie didn’t take the big step with Vicki and your only 13 enjoy it while you can. Puberty and Growing Up Earlier in the novel Lockie experiences body changes such as puberty, Lockie also has his first wet dream. A lot of teens are experiencing the same body changes. Tim Winton’s novel – Lockie Leonard is a suitable book for teens because all the readers who have or are going through puberty, body changes and that kind of stuff.

In the past, counselors worked with individuals and at the high school level focused on career counseling. When the ASCA National Model was created and adopted in 2005, “guidance counselors” became professional school counselors. The National Model and the ASCA National standards for Students (2004) offered a clear outline of what counselors were expected to do and how to implement the material. English controlled assessment In this essay I will compare two texts social networking. One of the texts is a leaflet called “Young people and social networking sites” whilst the other is the website called the “collegian” We can know this because of the layout of the two texts. The audiences for the two texts are fairly obvious, although the leaflet is slightly misleading. By the design and colour scheme of the leaflet one would assume it is for a younger teenage audience however upon further inspection we can see it is in fact made for the parents of such a demographic because of the title “a guide for parents, carers and teachers about social networking sites” we can also see that the title mentions not only parents but also teachers and
