PLANTS IN LIGHT NAME: Brian Martinez Problem statement How plants grow in different forms of light Monday, December 24, 2012 Hypothesis The plant exposed to the sun light will grow the most. Monday, December 24, 2012 Materials • • • • • • • • Monday, December 24, 2012 3 Plant seeds 1 LED light bulb 1normal light bulb 3 3.5 oz. planting pots Potting soil 2 dark rooms with no AC 2 lamps Procedures Plant the three seeds each a 3.5 oz. planting pot. Screw one normal light bulb on a a lamp and an LED light bulb on the other. Place the first plant in a dark room with no form of air conditioning, in this room place the the lamp that you have put the LED bulb on, in the room 13in’ from the plant. Then place the second plant in the same type of room as the first but with the lamp that has the normal bulb 13in’ from the plant. Place the last plant outside exposed to sun light. Then after a course of two weeks measure the hight of each plant in inches, and wright the data for each plant down.
