How people are influenced by the show Duck Dynasty We are living in the day and age of “Reality TV”. No matter what channel you turn to on your television you could find some sort of reality TV show on at some point during the day. A lot of the reality shows that are on, whether it be day or night, show behavior and language that is unsuitable for children and adults to be influenced by. While some people choose to watch these types of shows for the entertainment value I don’t think they realize the actual influence it has on their life. On the other hand, there are still some reality shows on that influence people in a positive way. One of those shows is Duck Dynasty. For those of you who have never watched and episode of Duck Dynasty I will tell you a little bit about the show. Duck Dynasty is an American reality television series that is shown on the A&E channel. The show follows the lives of the Robertson family, who became wealthy from their family operated business, Duck Commander, which makes products for duck hunters. The business had originally started in a family shed where Phil Robertson made duck calls for 25 years. Robertson men, brothers Phil, Si, and Phil's sons Jase, Willie, and Jep, are known for their long beards. The show is known for its humor, family values, and love for hunting. The Robertson’s are also Christians and firm believers in Jesus. The fourth season premiere drew 11.8 million viewers, the most-watched reality television show in history. Now that you have an understanding of what the show Duck Dynasty is about, let us look at how it would have a positive influence in people’s lives. Like I had mentioned earlier, the Duck Commander business had started in a shed 25 years ago by Phil Robertson. The business started out as a man’s love for duck hunting and duck callers.
