Prejudice and bigotry are learned at a very young age mainly from parents, other children and other institutions outside of the home environment. In many cases when children are trying to understand why others are different to themselves they may take on board what others say about them even though it may wrong. From the moment we are born the family influence begins to impact our thought process. As children we are like sponges that absorb ideas and morals. Beliefs are taught to a child in sophisticated way such as listening to parents and their opinions regarding religion, moral issues, social problems, and even how others be have. These beliefs shape our decisions, thoughts, and especially our actions
Cognitive development is tied into physical and social interactions in the preschool years as children are constructing view of the world and actions in the preschool years as children are constructing a view of the world and discovering concepts. Play also enables children to sort through conflicts and deal with anxieties, fears, and disturbing feelings in an active, powerful way. Adults contribute to the development of children’s sense of initiative in several ways. Adutls are responsible for setting up the environments for children’s play and making sure it is safe for everybody in it. There has been a movement for many years to include children with disabilities with their peers in schools, preschools, and child care center.
As these generations age, society changes as well as the family values. Adjustments are made to meet both individual and society needs. The three key processes in which children learn values and develop character should start with the forming of emotional attachments, teaching of pro-social behavior, and respect for authority; and abiding by the rules both within the family structure and society. Children develop a sense of their gender as they grow older. The image in their head comes from parents, teachers, people in society, and the toys they play with. As early childhood professionals, we know what children need in order to be successful in both school and in life. In order for the infant to grow up normally, they should experience a warm, intimate, and continuous relationship with its mother. If a parent fails to do this, it will cause people to be a victim of psychological disorders. Children that have attachment problems may have difficulty concentrating, be impulsive, and experience difficulty in school. A detachment problem has been linked to a lot of antisocial behaviors that includes sexual assault and child abuse. These three theories are alike because all of them starts in early childhood and continues to adulthood.
Parents influence their children from childhood towards adulthood. ; genetic influences are maximized at that level to. Eventually children compare their cognitive and behavior effectively. CHildren often enter school with a prejudice views, hover children mimic the learning behavior of others. THEre always of lack social maturity and in their attitude and behavior which reflect their produced there is abnormal development from this experience.
