In Shakespeare’s Rome and Juliet there are many minor characters that play an important role in the play. They might just only be minor characters but their existences have definitely given the plot a twist. Without them, the plot would not be the same; it would be not be as dramatic as it is now. He looks to fight at every opportunity and won’t accept peaceful outcomes in place of a sword fight. From the very beginning of the play, Shakespeare has already painted an image of Tybalt as an aggravating young man who loves to fight, “What, drawn, and talk of peace!/ I hate the word.” (Act 1, scene 1 line 39).
