Batman vs. The Punisher Although two movies are based on the beginnings of superheroes, it doesn’t necessarily mean the outcome will please the audience equally. This is the case between the movies The Punisher and Batman Begins, because The Punisher doesn’t give as much to offer in comparison to Batman Begins. These two movies basically talk about the same thing, the birth of a superhero. The Punisher, however, seems to lack some important details that help a movie be of good quality.
The music also is a key aspect in the great success of the film because it expresses yearning for a unity of serenity and sensuousness, an important aspect necessary for the delivery of subtextual content. The author discusses the functionality of the camera in Visconti’s piece and how; like the other aspects of the film, certain techniques are successful in interpretation while others are very unsuccessful. I found it very interesting that the message and the overall power of the film is entirely dependent on opinion and interpretation. A great example is how the viewers and critics interpreted the relationship between Aschenbach and Tadziu in the film. Many critics saw that the visuality of their relationship violated the sense
In the screening of Procrastination, Johnny Kelly shows the meaning of procrastination using many different creative styles and choices as a medium to send his message to the viewer and in the same time make it interesting. Kelly is a director and master of design, working across various disciplines including animation, graphic design, and illustration. In his short film, Procrastination, we can see a lot of the creative choices used that did a good job like the style of drawing; movement of picture; and sound that was used both music and narration. In the video one of the creative choices Kelly used was the style of drawing as it was both cartoony and realistic using the computer as the medium. As most of it was cartoony when realistic scenes are shown it gives this mood to the viewer and makes the message even more believable.
Larson did not purposely kill off angel and make the relationship of Maureen & Joanne difficult to point out that homosexual relationships doesn’t last, it’s just the way the movie went. Although the relationship of Collins & Angel was short lived, due to the tragic death of Angel, it was admired deeply by all gay or not. Another reason I have to disagree would be because of the fact that the relationship of Mark & Maureen as mentioned in the beginning of rent did not last. To me this shows that the musical gives no evidence that homosexual relationships are more doomed then heterosexual relationships. The living situations of bohemia is personified
Cady Blanchard-Wood This essay will analyse the micro features found in the scene "I Want Candy" in the film Marie Antoinette and how they are able to create meaning for an audience. Throughout the scene the music is gradually increasing and upbeat, which creates meaning as it engages the audience as it makes the scene appear more entertaining. The upbeat sound from the music could also create meaning for the audience as it could put questions into their head as they could think something is about to happen in the film, however the audience won't know what to expect as it is not the music that is creating the tension but the beat and the audience will expect to see something come up unexpectadly. There is a mixture of non-diegetic and diegetic sound used during the scene and the dialogue appears to be suppressed. This creates meaning for the audience as it makes the audience feel more at ease and creates a relaxing atmosphere and this could create a more realistic approach to the audience as there are a lot of sounds used.
Plays in general do not contain much detail with them about how to put on the play or what type of person to get for a certain character. This causes the person who wants to put on said show to put out how they viewed the character to be and represent it as that for that production. This however does not apply only to the basic plays in general, it also counts for great works, even shakespeare's “much ado about nothing” has little to no details about how the characters should be performed. For example two movie Directors wished to put on the play as a movie and capture its essence within the movie. The two Directors: Branagh, and Whedon put on entirely different movie even though the script was the exact same.
In the story, when Piggy talks about a good idea sometimes he touches his glasses before he says it and this is very important because it represents technology, rationalization and intelligence. Nevertheless, in the movie this never happens, the children only uses Piggy’s glasses when they are making fire start, so it is not very representative as it is in the book. In the other hand, another important
There were visuals around the theater, which made it easier to understand and visualize what Lopez was trying to describe when writing the song. The sorrow of the princess was definitely felt by the audience and it was heard throughout the piece. Since the piece was intended to be sad, it remained in a minor key for the most part. I did notice that as the intensity of the song (when the princess’ father send soldiers to capture the two lovers) was shown by using louder dynamics such as fortissimo (ff) rather than piano (p) or pianissimo (pp). Lopez also included more use of the percussion and brass instruments such as the tuba, trombone, trumpet and horn making the suspense grow.
In Perks of Being a Wallflower, Charlie is very smart and thinks outside the box, he is innovative and so his discoveries frequently come from this creative side of his personality. Overall, discovery is made up of small factors such as emotional, spiritual, physical, intellectual and creative. It is a part of growth and learning but the theme I have focused my visual representation is on travel and how it is represented in discovery, it gives a new perspective from being away from home which is relevant to all of my texts; particularly Away because at the end of the story, they all end up resolving all of their problems that they had at the start of the play by
In the recording studio the use of shot/reverse shot, shows the humor of the scene, us being able to see the reactions of the producers, which shows their attitude towards the song. The type of MTV edit, with the use of a crane shot as well as a side on close up of the mans face, which to me resembles a music video, in the opening as well again adds to the humor, with a MTV edit normally having connotations of a young fresh band, however when we see the artist being the age he is, it does again add to the humor of the scene. This then suggests the genre of comedy. When the audience put both of these together, they would be able to establish the genre as a romantic comedy. Also, we noticed how they use opposites, when the film cuts from a very idealic attitude of love, which conquers all to a man using derogatory language to describe the love song he is singing.
