“How Do I Love Me” by Helen M. Johnson is basically a self help book to encourage people to improve their self esteem and how to maintain high self worth. Each chapter goes into different objectives of self esteem such as behavior, attitudes, values, goals, etc. and helps you to understand yourself. The author also gives feedback and workouts so you can practice and hopefully improve or alter your own self-esteem. This book completely opens your eyes and allows you to actually make changes in your life and mind so you can live a happy healthy life, with high self esteem.
A friend who is kind-hearted will be more considerate and selfless. He or she will take an interest in the predicament I am facing in; no matter how big or petty the issue it may be. I really appreciate such kindness from my dear friend as it definitely helps to replenish my worn out sole and I manage to set my jaw stubbornly to face the hardship or the preordained failure in my life with the moral support from my friend. How do emotions affect our everyday life behavior? Date 11/06/2009 Emotions are mental and physical states that are associated with feelings, thoughts and behaviors. It is a prime determinant of the sense of subjective well-being and appears to play a central role in many human activities (Emotions, ¶ 1). Emotions are very important to our mental life because they make us happy, they bring us joy, they fill our life with moments to cherish and remember forever. But not all emotions are good.
It seems that if you have the willingness to give before you want to receive, you will have good friends, who are also ready to help you. Having good friend is a big pleasure. From my personal experience, the most difficult step is the beginning. There are many good people around us, but we can not know them from the very first glance, and it is more difficult to break down the "wall" between us in order to establish a new relation, the first basis of a friendship. The willingness having friends or the enthusiastic attitude in cooperating can help us in this beginning period.
You can use constructive feed back to build on use it as a tool not a negative. Work as part of a team; keep calm listen and respect, the people you are working with. Your past experiences can also help, and using your own initiative being positive. Appraisals are good way to receive constructive feedback, this will show your strengths and weakness, you might need more training on your moving and handling as you are not using the equipment properly. I receive positive feedback from my manager, she had over heard me talking to a service user who was being challenging with me, she explained she was very happy with the way I dealt with the situation calmed things down before they became worst.
A sense of humor can make or break a friendship. Whether it’s telling a joke or accidently falling down a flight of stairs, friends should be able to laugh at and with each other. A bubbly personality is exceedingly important in a friendship. A friend that’s drone and bland can make the friendship boring. Both parties being loyal makes for a healthy friendship and helps to build a stronger bond between the two companions.
The hedonic view captures a major element of what we mean by happiness in everyday terms: We enjoy life; we are satisfied with how our lives are going; and good events outnumber bad events. In contrast, eudaimonic conceptions of happiness, define happiness as self-realization, meaning the expression and fulfillment of inner potentials. From this perspective, the good life results from living in accordance with, your true self. For me personally I believe I experience more of hedonic happiness, as I am happy and enjoy my life. Some people never discover who they are, which is why I believe there are so many unhappy people in this
So there will come a time when possibly the group’s facilitator, manager, or group leader will ask herself/himself if fostering cohesion is beneficial for their particular group. Cohesion within a group can produce positive outcomes as the members of the group are more susceptible to becoming interdependent. Their personal self esteem heightens, they feel less constraint and communicate healthier about their idea; they are more prone to listen and respect other member’s opinions. However negative cohesion can be interjected when team members conform socially. When team members get along great socially; they like everybody and more time is spent on their commonality than on the task at hand.
Helping the Mother and the Father through all of the antenatal and giving them any support they may need through the most exciting but scary time of their lives and being there when their new little family member is brought into the world. My work experience has brought me lots of skills in building a rappor with people whether it be to just offer advice and comfort or to give some moral support .Having good people skills will help with the patients and with the other midwives. A happy working environment will not only make our jobs more enjoyable but less stressfull which will help us provide better care to our patients. This will also help the expectant mothers relax. I think this will help me greatly when I am training and once I have qualified.
Playing sports is important not just for body health reasons but also for your healthy intellects and emotions. Therefore participating in a team sports can develop a good character. You will learn what team is about; how it works, develops discipline, good exercise for your body and brain(intellects and emotions). Team is about unity within its team and with coach. No one can be selfish, if some one make mistakes with selfish mind, then you give a point away basically, and when that happens that one person brings the whole team atmosphere down.
