The child, in order to develop himself/herself, he has certain initiation in the family life but to proceed further it can be done only in an environment where he can get an opportunity to live and mingle with other children who are of the same age or elder. In order to accomplish this way of functioning Dr. Maria Montessori needs an educational environment. The main purpose of education is that the children should learn the education in an easy, understandable and in an interesting way. This leads her to start the Montessori Method of education. Dr. Maria Montessori mentioning that education is aid to live one's life, as the child ought to. The Montessori system of education does not provide exclusively to just pre primary segment but the children up to the age of twelve can also get advantage from this method of education. Dr. Maria Montessori introduced sensorial materials for the children which are in turn permit an individual work and repetition, and it will allow the children to classify their own sensorial impressions in an organized, orderly, and in a scientific manner. This will further help the child to organize his/her thinking. There are three agents of education in the Montessori Method. • The Environment • The Equipment • The trained adult. The specially prepared environment made for the children to feel apart from the home environment. The set of specially designed equipment, called as Montessori Materials, for the children to work with and to perform their own activities in that interesting environment. Third one, the trained adult (directress) who will help the children works with those Montessori materials in that specially created environment. These agents help create self-reliance and self-confidence in the child without intervening or interfering too much in the process of the child's development. Children below six years of age
