How did you choose your proposed course and institution? I am keen interested and currently working in public health field for more than 3 years. According to my professional career, I want to go for higher studies abroad to develop my career in research skill. Since Myanmar is one of the low and middle-income countries and epidemic in infectious diseases such as malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS, as well as the new epidemic of non-communicable diseases, Master of Public Health or Master of International Public Health becomes the most relevant to choose for my study. I have decided The University of Melbourne and The University of Sydney to attend this appropriate coursework. The University of Melbourne has outstanding reputation of excellence in in research, teaching and learning, and consistently ranked among the leading universities in the world, with international rankings of world universities placing it as number 1 in Australia and number 33 in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014-2015). The University has been an international leader in research, teaching and learning for more than 150 years. Students from over 150 countries choose to study at the University of Melbourne, because of the quality of teaching, learning and research. Graduates are highly sought after by employers from across the world, and the University was ranked number thirteen in the world for the employability of graduates by the QS World University Rankings 2014-2015. Also, The University of Sydney ranked 37th in the world and consistently in the top three universities in Australia. The University is one of the country’s major research-intensive universities and it also values postgraduate students as members of the University community. I believe these institutions will provide the best quality coursework that I need.
