Americans evacuated buildings, shut down airports, and rushed to see their loved ones because they were terrified of what might happen next . After that tragic day, terrorism has become more of an alarming topic than ever before. So many questions arose after the attack on the United States. Why would someone want to commit such a horrible act? Why would a person kill themselves only to kill others?
It may even be said that they were suicidal, with their kamikaze pilots and no real hope of defeating the Allied nations. The United States has always, and most likely always will, place a high value on American lives. In order to protect these lives and to ensure that the world is safe for democracy, American leaders had to make a very tough decision, whether or not to drop the Atomic Bomb on Japan. This act would essentially be trading Japanese lives for American lives. The Japanese, who were the aggressors, much like the Germans, were not sympathized with.
The US had two choices, drop an atomic bomb on Japan, which could put an end to the war with Japan or keep fighting and invade Japan, which would result in many more deaths. There was only one person who could make this decision and it was Harry S. Truman, and many people thought it would be a good idea to drop an Atomic bomb on Japan and others believed that it was a poor decision because, depending on how other countries viewed it, it could damage or relations with our allies at the
Since it is quite impossible for a projectile to make an explosion from that direction, it completely disregards any idea of a torpedo being shot at the ship. Other theories have come up since that day, such as that Cuban rebels seeking the American aid blew up the ship or that the news editor of the New York World, seeking to gain the edge over his competitor, was the cause of its destruction. The reason the editor of the World was first suspected after a telegram between the editor and one of his photographers was discovered saying “ You furnish the pictures, and Ill furnish the war...”. Although this evidence makes the theory seem solid, I have found one that , in my opinion, is far more probable than any other. America, under the influence of Imperialism, was ready to fight anybody , for any reason to gain land and to that extent , power.
This also removes it from being a conspiracy. As per “Debunking the 9/11 Myths: Special Report” by the editors of the website http://www.popularmechanics.com, another main conspiracy that is widely accepted is the idea that the plain was hijacked by terrorists and a bombing device was placed under it by a terrorist group. The original photo of the plane was considered over and again by specialists but no one was able to find any such evidence. These and other arguments are available to prove that the event of 9/11 was no conspiracy of the government, rather it was conducted by misanthropes who utterly disregard what the people feel and have no or soul. Instead of fighting with them, we are fighting among our own selves by creating such
History Controlled Assessment. Why has 9/11 had a lasting significance on the fight against terrorism? In the past we have always had a problem with terrorism; There have been bombings in many different countries like Kenya, Beirut, Lebanon, Iran and Tanzania. These bombings happened because the US positioned troops out in the countries near holy sites and embassies for protection but some people didn’t like it, like Osama Bin Laden, and decided to act on it resulting in the attack of 911. Another act of terrorism was the ‘Klu Klux Klan’ who were a group of white people who did not agree with the slave trade being abolished so they would commit crimes (like burning down buildings and rioting) and would harm people who agreed with slaves being freed.
Fail Safe Dilemma After viewing the film Fail Safe, many ethical dilemmas arose which caused each character to face one. A specific ethical dilemma that occurred affected the President of the United States. In this dilemma, the United States and Soviet Union had a huge argument and came close to a nuclear war. If this had happened, both countries would have been demolished and neither country would have gotten what they wanted. However, an electronic failure that processed to the fail systems told the bomber pilots to bomb Moscow.
We also are often discriminated in public places. Muslims nowadays are afraid to say they’re Muslims because of all the hate they will get. I myself was bullied, and one term they used was for me blowing up buildings and me being a terrorist. Just like how the blacks were discriminated, it is our turn in the 21st century. The media blamed us for the 9/11 attacks, yet it wasn’t us.
But the US govt. has made its stance very clear that it won’t stop these attacks as they are effective against terrorism. But this has been wrong move on US government’s part as the drone attacks which have resulted in killing of innocent people has led to the creation of more terrorists. It has been seen that those whose relative were
Many people are diverse when it comes to the cold war and each believed the other was the cause and the start. USA believed that Russia was a threat and thus tried to make out that she was the true villain, yet Russia believed that it was the USA’s doing in which provoked a war full of rivalry and suspicion. However, which side really did start it? Many factors during the stages of the cold war were often taken out of proportion however each side convinced its own people that it was the other sides own being. For example, when the USA dropped the atomic bomb on Japan the Russians were particularly frightened of what this meant for them.
