Direct marketing is a way of communication and sales using a personalised message for people and companies. One of the most important aspects of direct marketing is: the database, which is fundamental. This database is, most of time, managed with a software package called CRM: Customer Relationship Management. In direct marketing, with this database, customers will be contacted by numerous tools. These tools allow businesses to be in contact with consumers and the number of tools with the growth of technology. Nowadays, the tools used with the database are of course not the same as before because such tools evolve with time. Here are several examples of the tools used in direct marketing: - Email marketing: This is a marketing tool, which allows personalized messages to be sent to targeted addresses. This is used often in direct marketing because it’s inexpensive contrary to mail. It is simple, quick and marketers can use email marketing around the clock. - Online Tools: This tool more frequently used as of recent because we have more and more information about customers. This is a way of advertising the most suited products for each consumer because with online tools, consumers receive personalized advertising on their computer. Online tools work when the website has information about the online users.
