iam writing a comparing essay between romeo and juliet and cathy and heathcliff in wuthuring hights .They are both forbidden loves. Romeo can't be with Juliet because their families are feuding. Heathcliff can't be with catherine because he is looked down upon and catherines brother wouldn't allow it. In Romeo and Juliet a marriage is forced upon her to marry Paris just like catherine in withering heights had to marry edgar...both loveless arranged marriages where the man loved the woman but both Juliet and catherine didnt truly love them back. Lastly, there's the idea of finally finding love after death when Juliet kills herself to be with Romeo in the afterlife after she finds him dead in the family tomb.
If two eight-graders came up to you, would you agree to help them elope? In Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, two star-crossed lovers struggle to love due to their feudal families, the Montagues and the Capulets. In order to stay with each other for eternity, Romeo and Juliet commit suicide, which at the same time, ends the enmity between the rival families. However, part of this tragic death was brought upon by Friar Lawrence, their trusted friend and advisor. Through Friar Lawrence, Shakespeare shows us how shortsightedness will avert our true responsibilities.
Later in the poem, Hughes accuses his wife of abandoning her family. The repetition of “you” in the lines “unravelled your marriage, left your children echoing like tunnels in labyrinth, left your mother a dead-end” emphasises the immensely accusatory tone of the poem. These accusations in The Minotaur show that Hughes puts all blame for their failed marriage onto his wife, and is not taking any of the responsibility. Hughes’s view of Plath is a conflicting perspective to society’s view of the couple’s relationship. How Hughes portrays his conflicting perspective
Curleys wife obsession with herself lead to her death The connection between Curley’s wife and Lennie is that when curley’s wife walked into the barn but George said that Lennie is not aloud to talk to her like men on the ranch Curley’s wife also suffers from lack of attention and love also having to sacrifice her plans for Curley Lennie starts to talk about the farm and the rabbits and says that he like to pet soft thing then there is a connection between Curley’s wife ends in tragedy just as he kills Curley’s wife and his dreams Curley’s wife has also got a strong connection to Slim because she was the only girl on the ranch and she never saw Curley so she gave the other men the eye flirtation but the ranch men but the flirt back if they did( 1) they would be fired(2)they would suffer because of Curley temper so yes they all try and keep away from her but Slim talks to her everyone looks up to him even Curley looks up to him he’s like the boss he is an expert in his job so everyone admired

Ophelia is similar because they are both young women of royalty who fall in love with the wrong person according to their family and both commit suicide for similar reasons. In their eyes it is the right person for them. The two characters also differ in ways such as Ophelia realizes her family was right and Juliet stays true to heart. In the book Hamlet it is quoted “In few, Ophelia, Do not believe his vows, for they are brokers, Not of that dye which their investments show, But mere implorators of unholy suits, Breathing like sanctified and pious bawds The better to beguile. This is for all: I would not, in plain terms, from this time forth Have you so slander any moment leisure As to give words or talk with the Lord Hamlet.
Although the substitute parents come across as loyal and caring, both the Nurse and Friar Laurence betray Romeo and Juliet in the end. After Juliet disobeys her parents' orders to marry the County, Juliet asks her Nurse to comfort her but instead, the Nurse advises Juliet to marry Paris saying that it is in her own best interest. Of course, Juliet is astounded that the Nurse would say such a thing after all she has done for her and Romeo. Also, when Juliet wakes in the tomb to Friar Laurence after taking the potion only to discover that Romeo is dead, Friar Laurence exclaims, "I dare no longer stay," and runs away leaving Juliet alone in a tomb with a recently murdered Paris and several other dead and decaying bodies. Juliet can no longer trust
John denies Abigail saying that it will never happen because he loves his wife. Their relationship isn’t the strongest but love is there. This so called love drives Abigail to accuse Johns wife of witchcraft so that she is to be hanged for committing sins against the bible. She thinks that killing Johns wife would make him love her even though John has told her otherwise so many times already. Her actions actually hurt John greatly throughout the story.
The poem is in form of narration done by the author describing the kind of relationship she had with her father before his death. After her father’s death, she almost killed herself, but as she says, “they pulled me out of the sack, and they stuck me together with glue”. In order to keep the memories of her father, she moved in with “A man in black with a Mein kampf look”to have a father figure in the house. However, her husband betrays her and as a result, she is forced to hate all men and in fact kill them. Similarly, the short story is discussing death as Addie Bundren is very ill and instead of her children fearing for her death, Cash, her oldest son, has dedicated all his carpentry skills in making a coffin.
In the beginning of the play, after Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth of the witch’s prophecy, she grew attached to the idea of being queen. With the belief that her happiness will bring them the love he wishes to gain, he strives to do everything in his power to maintain his wife’s happiness. Macbeth decides that he is against Duncan’s murder, and tells his wife “I dare do all that may become a man; do what is expected of him, but no more. He will not go from man to monster by killing the king. But Lady Macbeth taunts him, “When you durst do it, then you were a man” (1:7:49), continually hinting at
