I was surprise to see that this was the only region that was using 4 out of 5 recruiting methods. Since there is a budget, I would recommend too stay away from as much media use unless a specific hiring event is coming up. As we all know media advertising can use up all of the budget before you know it. With that being said, the cost for Job Services, Employee Referrals, & Posting to Company’s Job Board - would be the most cost effective and tend to generate a higher retention and low turnover rate. The Eastern Washington region is only using three out of five recruiting methods.

KU Med doesn’t utilize hiring bonuses, due to the fact that experienced individuals who are in high demand are paid much more upon being hired. This is because of the 5% increases in the yearly salaries offered for 2 years of experience. This essentially means that an individual with eight years of experience will start with a 20% increase in their first year starting salary over an individual with no experience. Have you ever thought of changing the pay systems? I haven’t considered changing the system all together.

There are several parallels that lead us to believe that history may be repeating itself. Today’s U.S. economy is producing 2.2% more goods output then before the economic recession started in the late 2000’s, but with 3.8% fewer workers. This can be attributed to our modern day recession stimulating huge productivity and efficiency gains as business let mediocre employees go to save on labor costs. They have learned to do more with less. Unemployment rates were steadily on the rise just a few months ago and corporate profits are at all time highs.
I have also had alot of experience working with the public, in my previous customer care vacancies. This is something I enjoy very much, as I love meeting new people and ensuring i have helped them as much as I can. I have a full CRB check already in place from my previous voluntary work, and I am willing to work towards any training given to me in the position. I also have a full driving license and my own car. The training you have on offer with this position would be very beneficial to me and is what i am looking for in a role, this vacancy for me is not only a great job opportunity for me, but the chance to create a career doing something I love.
