It is also against the law to kill game for just the rack, tail, ect., and just a waste of meat. If someone who has a passion for hunting has no need or use for the acquired game, he can still make use of it by donating the meat to public help organizations or local soup kitchens. (Henry Garner) That is an average of 72 lbs. of meat that could be donated and used for good. (Zen Cart) Meat processors also make it for packaging.
For a while there was a slight decrease in the number of horses being slaughtered here in the United States. Many people are strongly against the idea of slaughtering horses, but when you stand back and look at the big picture we may actually benefit if we reopened U.S. slaughter houses. Firstly, when people want to get rid of a horse sometimes they send it to auction. Most auctions are not happy places. If you’ve ever been to one, you walk around and notice how fatigued and unpleasant most of the horses appear.
Hog overpopulation in the U.S. Feral hogs ravage the U.S. destroying crops, endangering drivers, and attacking humans. These hogs are not native to the U.S. feral hogs are descendants of the wild boars found in Europe, which were brought here by explorers and hogs that escaped from hunting preserves. The first explorer was Hernando De Soto he brought and released hogs into Florida. These pigs then spread in the southern part of the U.S all the way to Texas. Another explorer who brought hogs for food was Christopher Columbus.
However what it also shows is that death is dependent. Even something like a horse shows that Death needs something to help Him to travel to his victims. Therefore he is not entirely independent and invincible. This applies to war because people are helping Death by killing each other and therefore making it easier for Death. Millay is suggesting here that Death is dependent and we can weaken him by not helping Him, for instance with war where everyone is killing.
It is one thing when industries cut corners and produce inferior products for a to use, but then it is another thing when that product is something that we eat and that we feed our children. When it comes to animals, and how we get our food, there needs to be more than just profit to consider. Not only do we have to worry about our own health and how the process may affect the food we eat, but we also have to think about the animals. Animals are kept in inhumane living conditions just so that we can produce food at a cheaper price. More people can be fed at a lower cost when using factory farming, but it may not be worth the harm it causes the animals, our environment, and possibly our food.
The deer roam free so the steroids, antibiotics, and diseases that beef have deer don’t have. The reason for this is because there are too many deer to maintain the health of all the deer, because the cost would be outrageous. If the deer get sick they die the farmer or DNR is not giving them antibiotics to make them better. There are exceptions to that where there are deer farms down in Texas. If there is something wrong (other than the bullet hole or arrow hole) with the deer once you get the skin off most
The Horsemeat scandal contravenes the law as many company’s such as ‘Tesco’, ‘Iceland’, ‘Lidl’ and ‘Aldi’ were misleading their customers into thinking they sold beef whereas in fact they were caught selling horse meat which was a breach of the law. Consumer protection from unfair trading regulation 2008 also limits marketing as customers have a right to be treated fairly and honestly. Therefore aggressive sales tactics and dishonest promotions are strictly not allowed. Advertising special offers that aren't in stock is called bait advertising. An example of this is a camera shop runs a national advertising campaign offering cameras at a low price compared to its competitors.
'gestating' rather than 'being pregnant'? Factory farming is an industry that houses many animals and these animals live short lives due to a painful agonizing death. Farmers use different terms of words because it makes their job of killing animals seem more professional and it doesn’t scare people away from meat. Farrowing means the production of a litter pigs. When female pigs become pregnant they are put in farrowing crates so they can't have much room to move.
Should there be a stronger wild horse protection act? The Bureau of Land Management is responsible for protecting wild horses and burros and has removed nearly 300,000 of these animals from their habitat on our western public lands and has zeroed out wild horses from over 20 million acres of public land assigned by Congress as their habitat. The Wild Free Roaming and Burros Act passed by Congress in 1971 declares that wild free roaming horses and burros symbolize the historic and pioneer spirit of the west. Also that they contribute to the diversity of life forms within the Nation and enhance the lives of the American People. These horses and burros are fast disappearing from America.
Animal cruelty needs to stop and if farmers aren’t willing to stop the nasty, brutal way they are killing animals, then what we can do is stop buying meat. Maybe not all at once but we could slowly stop buying so much. Along with that, we would also need to stop going to zoos and circuses. A lot of people think animals do not have feelings, but they do. They know when someone is being nice or being mean.
