It is said, 'honesty is the best policy' and "dishonesty is a sin which comes out sooner or later." I believe this saying is true because being honest is an important attribute; it is one of the ways that people judge you. If you cannot be considered as being honest, you will not have gratifying relationships, good friends, or perhaps even a good life. An honest person is trusted and respected in society, while a dishonest person is disbelieved and hated by all. If we are dishonest with our friends, the life of a dishonest person becomes miserable, as one loses all faith, sympathy and support of friends. Friendship is a sentimental bond between two people and this bond is broken by dishonesty. Honesty is important in friendships, if someone is known to be honest about all things its satisfying to be able and share secrets with them. However, if someone is known to be dishonest for just once, no one will respect them. In friendships you must not lie and you must keep your word and be faithful. When you are dishonest to other people you hurt them emotionally and physically. If you do not have honesty then you cannot have trust.Being known as an honest person is one of the highest honours someone can achieve in life. Honesty has a really big impact on society being that one needs trust to get a job and to be trusted by those surrounded. Without honesty how do those who one lives with know that one will not steal from them? Honesty in the work place is important because if one cannot be trusted one cannot achieve better pay. If one is dishonest continually it can cause one to lose their job. When one doesn't meet their responsibilities one becomes mistrusted. Honest business practices build foundations of trust with colleagues, competitors, staff, customers, and every other individual. In a friendship honesty is the most important trait one should have.
